No more free meals

As of 1/7/13 , Lazy Days will no longer provide free breakfast and lunch without a voucher. Vouchers are given to CG guests. A salesman can give them out and probably the service dept.
We don't eat there but obviously a lot if outside " guests " took advantage of their previous policy of free meals. I know a lot if people that went there for a free meal that ended up costing them $ 250,000. :-)

I never ate there even when I stayed there. While a nice idea and the facility is great, the food was not enough to make me get in the car and drive over there.

I suspect that in this economy there will be numerous changes. We were there before Christmas and they had already implemented a menu that you were charged for and the usual "free" meal. You took your choice

As usual, a few probably ruined it for all. Our local Harley Dealer used to have free hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on the grill to entice Harley owners to the store on Saturdays.

Soon there were more non-riders, some with families, showing up for the free food.

They started charging for the food, with all the proceeds going to charity. Problem solved and the riders didn't mind. After all 100% of the money went to charity.

When we ate there we wanted to leave and go on over to Cracker Barrel for more food.

A town up here use to have a Diabetes Awareness drive offering free pancakes smothered in hydrogenated vegetable oil and high-fructose corn syrup. My suggestion of offering Roundup as a side condiment was ignored.

I can't afford any more free stuff.

Was at LD yesterday and yes you do pay for your meals however they were still giving out complimentary hot dogs and chips. The hot dogs were not all that bad and being freebies made them all that much better.

As stated in my OP. the free part expires 1/7/13 without a voucher.

Verified. They came by our site with vouchers yesterday for today. Thought maybe they were doing something special...nope same oatmeal for breakfast and hot dog at lunch. Yes free, but stretching the amenity of complimentary breakfast fast and lunch with campground stay. JMHO, overpriced campground for what you get for $48/night. Driving class from Bob Bergeron is a big positive.

Left today; can't see returning anytime soon.
