If you think North Korea owns Wikipedia, Dunner, I fear you've been out in the desert a lit-tle too long...

But what the hey- if you doubt the statistics I posted from that Commie Pinko Source, I'll set y'all up with another: Here are the same numbers as provided by the Stockholm international Peace Research Institute

And another source that you may actually have heard of (and presumably respect) very pridefully notes that, here quoting Fox News

Quote:
Taxpayers spent $711 billion on defense in 2011 -- the equivalent of the next 13 largest defense budgets combined.
The second largest defense budget in the world that year was China's, which officially is reported at $142.9 billion -- a sixth the size of the U.S. total.

I don't believe anything coming from China or North Korea... I don't care who you "quote". Does Wiki have access to their books? I'm done.

Francesca is right, to a point, the people in North Korea have no "per Capita" or Gross Domestic Product, 26% have electricity, and 3% of the roads are paved.
North Korea has the largest amount of active and inactive troops. In the world. Latest data shows 1,106,000 active soldiers and a total of 9,495,000 (heavily indoctrinated) soldiers including reserves.

Wiki has been shown to have false information on it. Most schools will not allow the wiki to be used as a source for reports because of it.

For what it is worth, mandatory military service at starvation wages with a million mann army, slave labor building military infrastructure for no wages and a starvation diet...probably difficult to get a real handle on what the real military expeditures are compared to the rest of the world.

The one thing we do know is they are starving the non-elite in the country to death...that's the one thing you can't argue.

I believe you are Absolutely correct. Aid has been significantly reduced after missile tests and nuclear defiance. He is looking for more aid then what they received before, that way he can declare victory.

Yesterday was a sad day for Boston and also for journalism. In an effort to be first, dang near every news outlet got it wrong. If you don't watch the news your uninformed but if you do, your misinformed.
Turns out the Kennedy library fire was just an electrical short. The Washington post reported 12 dead. Just horrible speculation and guesswork not journalism. I guess they can tout they were first to bring you images and reporting that was as trustworthy as the rumor mill. Sad when Facebook has more accurate information then our news outlets.

During a recent car chase in Phx, one reporter said the chased car was going at a high rate of speed. You could clearly see how slow the line were going buy and other cars were either passing or going the same slow speed as the chased car. She about wet her pants yelling how fast it was going. It crashed when it "fell" off the road at a tight dirt corner.

It's the year 2013. It's been decades since they built a decent car. The poor reporter had probley never been over 70 MPH in her life. Sorry for the off post topic but, you can't blame thses kids for not knowing what life is like when they have never lived it.
