Northern Lights

FYI
A X class solar flare occurred on July 12th. Because the sunspot is directly facing Earth, it hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) directly toward our planet. According to analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab, the CME will hit Earth on July 14th around 09:17 UT (+/- 7 hours) and could spark strong geomagnetic storms. This one might be seen into the well into the US

Yup, they're saying the northern lights will be visible down to some southern states. Hope we have clear skies tonight.

That would be cool. Seeing the northern lights is definitely on my bucket list.

It was also good for CB

I remember one solar max, way back in my CB'ing days, I talked to Italy barefoot with 5 watts

The Japanese have a legend about the northern lights. They think that any child conceived under the Northern Lights will be a special child. I don't know if this mattered to any of you looking for the Auroras, but if it did....okay, I'd better not go there.
