Enjoy every minute of your free time, you can't save it up so use it. As others have said, you won't know how you had time to work, and that means you are having the time of your life. Camp as much as you can, go as far as you can, see as much as you can. Retirement will never last long enough.... CONGRATULATIONS to you.

Been a year and a half, and 20000 miles on coach and loving every minute of it. We kept our house, but don't mind being away for long periods of time enjoying ourselves. Best of luck in your retirement, it won't take long and you will wonder where has the time gone.

Been retired 3 years and 3 days. Keep busy going to granddaughters sports. Finally got to the point of telling family no. I will not be their handyman. I find enough to do. Don't need others to find jobs for me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed retirement. I do have a saying,
"you can either sit or keep moving, if you keep moving you get to see your children and grandchildren grow up, if you just sit you will grow roots. Know what happens if you grow roots, they plant you. Just keep moving and stay busy".
We stay busy and very active, 3 days a week at the gym when not on the road always going or doing something. I have know too many people that retired and just sat in their favorite chair, they generally don't last very long.

Congrats and enjoy. Is there ever a time that there is never anything to do?? LOL. I've been at it for 6 years now and it seems there is always something that needs to be done.

I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up, Retired.

March of 08, hit the east coast waterways, 2014, hit the roads.

Doing both, leaves no time for a house. Sold that!

Don't wait any longer than necessary, we have all worked for a very long time. We won't get to enjoy retirement near as long as we worked. So retire early and enjoy all that you have left. A good friend told me that "If you think your company can't survive without you, stick your hand in a 5 gal bucket of water, then pull it out quickly and see how long the hole stays there". We have all seen this, he was the best at what he did, he is gone now the jog is yours, good luck and do your best. We are all replaceable, the company will survive without us.

Just remember you're retired now, it's a 7 day a week job, no days off, no vacation, no holiday pay. It's not bad though I've adjusted rather well, it takes a while to get used to it. Congrat's and have fun. Jim
