Yes, funny movie, and some parts are relevant today. Specifically, when they went to the RV show and bought the trailer, Lucy convinced her husband using the argument about "how much money we will save".
Sounds very familiar.

Love to watch it. Still as funny as the first time I saw it.

It's a classic ! A movie made over 50 years ago that's still funny is a rare thing.

Interesting. I find the older movies to far superior to the trash coming out of howliwood today. I cannot put Tom Cruze in the same category as E.G. Robinson or Sharon Stone vs. Claire Trevor. Funny? Compare Ma 'n Pa Kettle's innocuous humor to anything (crap) put out nowadays. No crude language needed back then to cause a knee slapping laugh.

At the opening night festivities at the FMCA Rally in Redmon, OR a couple of years ago this movie was shown and one of the dresses Lucy wore in the movie was on display. Debbie Reynolds, a former RVer, makes it her job to save iconic items from the "Days and rememberances of our life"

A couple of times, years ago and I agree.. How many remember those old trailer brake controllers like she had?

That is why a man who's daughter I tried to date made a better one. Wish I'd tried harder

My wife loves it. I'm sorry but I just cannot stand to watch it. I love a good comedy. But I can only stand a little bit of stupidity. Just too stupid, on so many levels, for me to enjoy. Sorry to be such a party pooper.

I love, love, love Lucille Ball! I have the movie on DVD, along with two other forgettable Lucy/Desi movies and it is stored in my TT. I think I'll watch it this weekend!! I need a good laugh.

I agree with you Hamguy,I like the old B&W movies, my favorite has to be Earoll Flynn as Robin Hood, will not watch the Kevin Costner version.
Another B&W I like an Alferd Hictchcock movie The 39 Steps, I have it on vhs,I don't know if it's on DVD,very supenseful.

Check here for DVDs and Blu-Rays of The 39 Steps.

Personally, I prefer Costner's Robin Hood. People's tastes vary.

I think you missed my point. There are many movies from that era that are comedies but are dated and the humor also dated but The Long Long Trailer is timeless.... I agree that (most) of what is released today isn't worth watching.
