The wife said, "Whatcha doin? today?"
He said, "Nothing."
She said, "You did that yesterday."
He said, "I wasn't finished."

I'd love to try that some time for more than a week or tow.

Ken

Sounds like everyday.

Only thing is that since I retired last April I'm so busy I don't know how I ever had time to work.

My niece says my Dad has his own business - Nap Inc. Heck, he deserves it.

The GF and I are down in southern Arizona right now, visiting her parents who snow bird down here.

After several days of ATV riding in 70 degree sun in, it really bums me out that I have to go back to Oregon (where it is now snowing) and that I have to go to work...

His wife just dosn't practice proper motivational technique with the correct tools.

Be careful what you wish for. My retirement has been forced on me by the economy. A big old surprise layoff after 40 years of continuous employment. No animosity, just downsizing and outsourcing.
I was considering it, but waiting because of the market downturn. Go figure.

I've tried working. I've tried retirement. Think I'll stick with retirement.

Since I retired I've had trouble sleeping....

Oh, I sleep OK when I go to bed at night, usually get a full eight hours. The afternoon naps are fine too.

It's that morning nap... just cant't seem to get to sleep...

Sounds like something my father would have said when he first retired. He has since mastered the AM nap as well.

Hi Ho Ken: I love the things you post. The problem with retirement is that most of us do it when we are old and have physical problems that limit what we can do.

My sister had the right answer. When she was about 35 she and her husband wrangled a 35-foot sailboat and simply sailed off into the sunset. They spent about 5 years in the Caribbean and then came back home and went back to work. Of course, they had no kids at home, but I still think they had a good plan.

It seems like one of us is always faced with some kind of medical problem. Fortunately my wife is an RN and my brother is an MD. Still getting old is not all it's cracked up to be. I'm also getting good at the nap, especially when I have a good excuse.
