We're still $3.79 for gas and $4.09 for diesel. All together now, "I Love NY!"

This is really interesting!

Seems like lots of variance from place to place, even within regions/states.
I wonder if there's a predictable pattern....

PLEASE NOTE:
That question is NOT meant to precipitate a bunch of posts
about "political influence" or other Conspiracy Theories.

I just like to look at patterns.

Wouldn't it be cool if somebody knew how to make an electronic version of a map with little pins in it, giving the various prices/dates at different places?

Francesca

Albuquerque, NM gas is 2.96-3.20/gal of gas and 3.56-3.85/gal of diesel. The disparity between gas and diesel seems to be due to the changeover to refining heating oil for the winter but the gap seems to get wider year to year.

That goes for the Houston area too. I did see diesel for $3.449 this morning at a Kroger fueling center. Big rig friendly also.

IMO, until the worldwide demand for diesel subsides the "gap" will continue to get bigger.

Today I saw a Wal-Mart (Murphy's) selling diesel for $3.38 in Bedford, TX.

I'll tell you what I'm waiting for...consistent $100/barrel so they will be willing to drill on my property. I truly would love to be an oil baron. I would love to wake up, roll over and see that iron horse pumping black gold from under my land; but then I'm a proud Texan.

Yep, I'm looking out for number one but of course I would have to send the rest of the US population a check each month to share in my wealth.
