Think I had better leave that one alone. Every thing I'm sitting here thinking about posting would get me smacked!

You do understand that the current government policy is to keep fuel costs high to encourage use of smaller vehicles and more "green" technology. Don't count on any investigations as to why the fuel costs are high and the cost per barrel of crude is low. The powers that be want it that way.

Oil stocks have been and continue to be a good investment. Not saying you will get your money back as the CEO and the board have to be paid their millions of dollars before any dividends are paid. ;-)

Unless you are willing to "contribute" more money to congress than the oil lobby does, don't expect to see any changes.

This is a tough topic to discuss without taking political potshots, but iRV2's rules don't permit political posts.

Thanks!

The small group of people that control our oil costs, do not understand or care about the general population. They have their own wealth to build and our wealth or lack thereof does not concern them.

You are referring to the oil traders, right?

Oil is a commodity traded each business day just like gold, silver, pork bellies, etc. Actually, its the buyer that sets the price not the seller. Bid vs ask price.

Now if anyone wants to really get on a price kick-I recently read that ink for our inkjet printers cost $5400.00 per gallon.

I will be happily filling up our van with $2.999 fuel later this morning. I guess the oil company's plans to get us used to high prices is working as I am pretty dang thrilled to be paying less than $3/gallon for a change.
