Subtract 9 3/7 from 14 10/14, then tell me how you did it!
14 5/7 - 9 3/7 = 5 2/7

I simplified the larger fraction so they were common.

I always help when I am somewhere and the clerk has trouble making change or some other math issue. I do the math in my head and give them the answer, and tell them I am an engineer so can do math.
