The Long Long Trailer. Desi Arnaz, and Lucille Ball.

I believe it should be mandatory watching for all would be new trailer purchasers. :-)[/QUOTE]

I agree, and "RV" with Robin Williams also

Great comedy... We watched it when we had our TT.
Today you would have to have a 350 dually to pull that long, long trailer..

How did you like those old brake controllers... My memory goes back to them, though I never used one, I have seen them.

That was before Tekonsha Engnieering came out with the first decent Automatic brake controller.. Now,, I tried to date the company fonder's daughter.. I grew up in Teknosha. (A small town in south center Lower Michigan, home of the Te-KON truck stop, which is the model for the major Truck Plazzas (Pilot FLying-J T/A et-al) today. I went to school with the son of the founder of that outfit).

You KNOWWWW you're getting old when you start reading about an old movie that people have just found......and you saw it in a theater. Granted I was a kid and my parents went to see it and drug my brother and I along.

We have friends we camp with who are in their 80s - I once mentioned that "You know you're getting old when you can apply for Social Security" and he replied "You really know you're old when your kids apply for Social Security!"

Well I saw it on TV but we did not go to theater much when I was younger.. Still do not.. The prices are outlandish now days less you go to the cheap flicks shows (3rd run places).

I still like those old brake systems.

Yes I agree. RV will be the younger generation's Long, Long Trailer in years to come, but I think the latter has more to offer.

I like them both of course. If your an RV'er how could you not.

Robin Williams "RV" doesn't compare by a long shot to The Long, Long Trailer. "RV" was very low rated. Last time I tried to watch it, I had to turn it off and deleted it from my DirectTv recorded movies! Williams has made some classy movies but RV wasn't one of them. Now, how about "About Schmidt" - that's a good one with a limited amount of RVing in it, though.

Don't get upset, I meant to say The Long,Long Trailer was better, just got ahead of my fingers doing the typing. Jeez! Didn't I start the thread about how I liked it? Someone ekse mentioned RV, and yes I thought it was funny, and I'm also sure the younger crowd will watch it, and like it more.

Now I, on the other hand Like RV.. But I'm watching it in PUN mode. Oh, I knwo that many of the pitfalls Robin falls into can not possibly happen (For eample the auto-park brake failure ... no part of the auto-park system is anywhere near the area what he would have damaged when he took out the mail box).

and the "Fecal Volcano"

But quite a bit of it is still very funny.

For all you Long, Long Trailer fans, you should check out the Lucy & Desi Museum in Jamestown NY (Lucy's birthplace). They have lots of artifacts, Lucy & Desi memorabilia and a model of the trailer used in production. It's great fun!

Not to steal the thread but "It is a mad, mad, mad world" is a great movie for old car spotting.
