When seeing names spray painted on signs, rocks etc., Dad would say, Names of fools are like their faces always seen in public places.

When I would hang out 'pester' my dad and ask... What ya doing? He would either say... I'm molding to keep from mildewing or I'm mildewing to keep from molding' when I knew for a fact he was working on the car....I just wanted to know what part and why, etc. He didn't want to try and explain it because I probably wouldn't have understood anyway...

Whenever we asked my Mom what was the time, she would reply "Time all dogs are dead, aren't you glad you're a pup." And this for good measure "You aren't sugar, you won't melt."
