You would think that if it's in a rich neighborhood that most had seen rocks before.

And the ones caught in the rain are still there waiting for a government grant or some social program to dry them off and then provide grief counseling from their horrific experience.

The museum that rock went to has been overwhelmingly supported by Eli Broad (of Kaufman and Broad Homes, and a host of other big capital ventures). A friend of mine remodeled his kitchen. He has something like $30M of paintings hanging in his entryway.

I doubt LAMCA has to worry much about having their operating costs covered.....

Huh?????????? So spending that much to move a "Rock" is OK with you. Have no idea what names you are throwing around. No doubt, it's a Calif. thing.

Exactly, so 10 mil is a drop in the bucket. The Getty will get a new toy next.

Sorry Northern CA and So Oregon.

I thank you for applying that exception. We natives that are country folks pray for a good earthquake, tsunami,or fire so we can take our state back from the loonies.

To make things even tougher I'm a businessman. I just spent the last 18 months trying to register a vehicle I bought for the business. I leased it and then bought it at the end of the lease. The folder is over 1 inch thick. I got a "fix it ticket" from a kind CHP officer that said I had incomplete registration. No kidding. I have been paying the registration all along and he found that out after running the plates. I told him my story but he was not interested and gave me the nice fix it ticket. So then I spent three months going to the courthouse to get extensions. They would not let me pay the full fine of $240 so I could at least get that crap off my back. I kept getting go to jail notices which would have been fun since the police chiefs and sheriffs all know me personally. So yesterday someone finally dotted the i and gave me the "complete registration". Off to the courthouse again and it took twenty minutes of some clerk typing and $25 to pay the fine.

Yep. California is nuts and I cannot wait to leave. We lost our state many years ago and cannot get it back.

CA is okay if you are very rich or extremely poor, anything in between is going to be rough.

Ah...THE Eli Broad. I remember when he bought out my previous employer. I spent six montages looking for work in '95.

Yep, more money than he can spend.

Redwood, Lassen Volcanic, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks... You guys live in a beautiful state and we feel blessed to have had a good taste last summer... Couldn't live there though, I'd probably miss the summer time scent of plywood here in Florida too much.
