Without getting overly political or religious I just wanted to point out that by this time,
what's his name has been reduced to shark poop.

I don't think that's political or religious - that's biological fact!

Why would they dump his body in the ocean?
Wouldn't it have been better to provide some "proof" to the American people. And don't tell me there was video...(On video, I saw 8 foot tall blue guys with tails in the movie Avatar)

Sounds suspiciously like "The Soprano's"...Whack em and dump the body in the Hudson River as to leave no traces.

But what do I know???

Isn't it strange that our (us) society (media) can publish pictures of decapitated bodies, mangled bodies, bruised and beaten bodies, of Americans, but they are afraid to offend some areas of the world by publishing pictures of OBL's death?

I guess I'm just dumb and don't get it.

They buried him at sea to respect their religion so as not to agitate or give reason or excuse for more attacks.

I guess I don't understand why you would think that. Do you remember when the small church burned the Quran? It didn't make even a small blip on the news here but it caused rioting and deaths in Afghanistan. If his body was left behind or given to another country it would have become a shrine. Just releasing pictures of his shot up body will whip up support for al-Qaeda. I don't know why it's so important to see a bloody body? Are you suspicious that we really didn't get OBL? If it didn't happen don't you think OBL would have given a news release by now? Is there no end to the silly conspiracy theories when it comes to Obama?

Some seem to think this was just a few Navy seals who got together and did the raid on their own. This may seem like a strange concept but in the military we have a chain of command. The Commander in Chief was intimately involved in the planning and execution of this raid. He choose the plan with the most risk so that fewer innocent people who die. We could have have just blown up the neighborhood with a missile. What would have happened if this plan had back fired? Whose fault would it have been then? What's wrong with giving credit where credit is due? What's wrong with letting Americans have a little pride in our country for doing something right?

In the great scheme of things over hundreds of years - no. It DOES make a difference and gives a certain amount of closure in the lives and memories of the thousands of families of those that were murdered at the hands of those directed by bin Laden.

You missed what I was attempting to say, completely. I don't care one way or another if the publish pictures of his death. It is also amazing that the American people did not riot with the maiming of Americans throughout the world. We ARE a different class of people. It most definitely not important to see a bloody body. All that needs to be said is that the pictures will not be release. End of that, no explanation necessary. I'm a retired Marine. Do you really think that I would even suggest to say that he was not killed. Not on my watch. The Seals did a commendable job, but they will have to be commended in private and without fanfare. Again because of public opinion. And why in the world would you even suggest that there is a conspiracy theory regarding "Obama?" (Quotes your words.)

This was not just a "few navy seals" that got together. It was a well trained, well disciplined group of individuals following the orders from their chain of command. My pride is not only for our country, but for this group of individuals who risked all that the have, their lives, for our country.

God bless America, and God Bless our troops and bring them all home safely. (I hope that is not to religious for everyone.)

and it allso avoids having a spot here in the state for his supporters to come and "honor" him.

And now for more humor:
Go to the bar tonight and ask for a Bin Laden.

When the bartender asks "what's in it?" reply "it's 2 shots and a splash of water"

Yeah, but if they would just show their faces I'm sure someone could arrange a meeting for them with their 72 virgins...hopefully male.
