It is very easy to pick out who has been in actual combat and who hasn't by the tone of the posts.

Let's just say this is for Danny Pearl, who was beheaded and the video shown around the world. What !, you say that is political and religious. BTW Danny was a Jew.

Since he was buried at sea does that mean he gets 72 Sturgeons.

For countries that have been fighting and killing each other for centries; will killing this person make a differance?
Answer" naa
Answer is yes it will make a huge difference and don't forget that your soldiers risked their lives in this operation. I am one Canadian who is very grateful to the USA. One terrorist eliminated from this planet makes a difference, eliminating the leader is huge. It also sends a message that if you commit hideous terror, you will have to sleep with one eye open for ever.

I just wanted to state that I am grateful for the sacrifice that Canadian soldiers and their families have made and are making today in Afghanistan. We are all in this together.

Sorry I took so long to reply, Wayne MD.

Yes, I served with the U.S. Army, but didn't see any action. I was Honorably Discharged right before the first Gulf War.

I would consider myself a military veteran, but not a combat veteran. There is a difference, in my book.

I have "laid down my sword", and now perform peaceful missions as an x-ray/cat scan technologist. A big turnaround from being a UH-1H (Huey) crew chief.

My time in the military changed my life. And I'm sure former service members know what I'm talking about. We're all brothers-in-arms, and the unique bond among us could really never be broken. I'm proud AND THANKFUL that these young men and women in the service today have given HUGE sacrifices to ensure that the world we live continues to be safe.

It's a thankless, yet a very important job, carrying a rifle and standing by the wall....

Oh, and to all you people who complain about Bin Laden's "sacrilegous" burial at sea, I offer you this:

“They say it was done according to Islamic tradition. That upsets some people and I understand why. But the message it sends is that we are a country that does not drag the bodies of our enemies through the streets. We do not behead them for the entertainment of others. We do not mutilate their corpses.
I think of his body sinking into the sea, disappearing into the dark depths of the ocean; this man who terrorized so many for so long has simply disappeared.
The ocean is a very big place, and in the end Osama was a very small man.”
– Anderson Cooper, May 3rd 2011

Burial at sea is nothing when compared to how our American soldiers were treated, don't you think ?

Go to the bar tonight and ask for a Bin Laden.

When the bartender asks "what's in it?" reply "it's 2 shots and a splash of water"

Just an off-side, go to YouTube and search for "barnhard-graham" without the quotes.
Watch part 1, then part 2.

Warning, may be offensive to some.

Shhhh! just listen.
