I hope this is the right forum for this question.
I use OE for my mail and news reader and I often run into files that are yEnc encoded.
I don't have enough that I want to purchase a yEnc program, so I wondered if anyone knows of a freeware plugin for OE?
Thanks.
Paul

I believe there is a technology forum down below the owners area that may provide some more informed answers. I have never run across anything like what you are talking about. Please tell us, what is a "yEnc" program? It sounds to me like you may have a virus infesting your computer.

How old is your OE program? In the below URL, there is an overview on yEnc http://www.yenc.org/whatis.htm States specifically: On eMail the situation is far more complicated because there are a lot of older programs and computers involved. There is a free download at this address: http://www.sb-software.com/android/
Good luck and hope this helps.
Marcia

Thanks for the tip.
I looked at a bunch of them and selected 'Gravity'.
Not a plugin, but it serves my need.
I can now decode yEnc files.
