Over priced RV Insurance

I am a long time Good Sam Member and have been RVing for some 40 years. I moved to the US a while ago from Canada & at that time we changed our RV Insurance and added our TOAD to the policy.
We were encoraged to switch to a US carrier after reading the numerous adds in Good Sam Magazine.
I wish I could tell you that we had a good experience but that has not been the case. The cost of the policy kept steadily increasing untill it just became too much to bear when it reached $4928 a year. We had no claims, no traffic tickets and the only time we heard from the company was when we received another rate increase.
The final insult was a $50 charge for cancelling the insurance policy.
No, thats not quite correct, I received a phone call from a woman who said she represented Good Sam Insurance and wanted to know if I would like to buy a policy. When I told her we wanted to bail out of Good Sam RV Insurance she didn't know what to say. So I just said 'No Thank You' and hung up!
I wrote to Good Sam Club twice, but they didn't reply.
The insurance company is GMAC.
We still have our Good Sam ERS policy but we have changed our vehicle insurance to another carrier who offers identical coverage for a lot less $$$!

Welcome to the forum. That sounds like a horror story but glad you are now with a company who treats you better.
