You must be picking prime locations. Pick a spot in an area that is not very attractive. Take a spot without trees or close to that swampy looking piece of ground near the dumpsters.

Funny but DW doesn't like those spots but does direct me to spots not next to others but they still find us.

With all due respect and meant sincerely not to antagonize but ....... "if" you want a larger area space to yourself, then maybe pay and reserve several sites around you on the right, left, in front and behind (cost of pet ownership???).

Better yet, do like most responsible dog owners do take the time, like the rest of us to "train your dog" to do as it's told when it's told dependant on the environment. There's nothing worse for those that aren't as into pets as you or I am to have an obnoxious animal in our midst.

Just saying ....... maybe walk in another persons shoes for a while!

STB.

PS: We have had dogs our whole lives, working the farms and as pets, and they've all been trained to go to their beds when we sit down to eat (association and soon becomes automatic), not to jump on furniture or allowed on carpets. Like children, they need to be taught boundaries from the get go. Again, said with all due respect, but try to put on another's hat and consider it from their perspective not just that "me, me, me, I, I, I".

I will park where I want to, until you buy the campground you don't own it, maybe they had in mind where they wanted to park and you just got to that area first, now for me, I like the back corners of the campgrounds unless the sites are so off kilter that is where I go, I will pick the best site available to me even if that means it is right next to you, I can tell you this, I will not talk to you, I prefer to be left alone, not anti-social ( I talk to my dog, sometimes my wife, best conversations I have), just don't want to sit and chat. If I do have to run a generator than I do it in the afternoon or late morning (wife likes her coffee). Sounds like you feel you should be entitled.

^^^
This.
Most likely you picked a desirable, level spot. Level, desirable spots tend to be clumped together.
Other RVer comes along.
Sees level site next to you.
Wants to be away from others too, but doesn't want to spend his time dealing with a out of level site.
Reluctantly moves in next door.
Hopefully, he's quiet and friendly with no yippy dogs.

And sure enough another camper will park right next to us. Why, why, why do y'all do that?
Another good reason to boondock!!!
