Payton Manning

Payton Manning is as I write this is signing a contract with the Denver Bronco's. So much for the 49ers.

Smart move on Mannings part....I really don't like him facing my Raiders but I guess is doesn't matter, we fire a coach that finally had them headed in the right direction...

Personally I think the man has made enough money in his career and should think a little more about what he may do to not re-injure his neck. He's a good talker and probably should be up in the booth commentating on a game. JMHO OH, and where is Mr. Tebow going????

Another reason to hate the Broncos. As you can tell, I've never been a fan of Manning....EITHER of them. Expecially the cry baby Elly. (And yes, I spelled it that way for a reason. )

I hope he goes to Jax or Miami. They could use a loser like Tebow, afterall he only won 8 games as their starting QB. If he hadn't played they would probably be flippin a coin with Indy for first pick in the draft. Being the loser he is maybe Denver will give him away. Fat chance.

Just be glad your team doesn't have to play against Payton when he was in his prime.

I'm a life long 49er fan and Peyton Mannin would not be a good fit for the Niners. He's a pocket passer and the Niners offensive line is just not mature enough yet to protect a pocket passer. Look at how many times Alex Smith had to scramble to make anything happen. And even at that, their wide receiver passing game was almost non-existent. They have most of the pieces in place, but I think they need help on the offenvise line, and a big fast wide receiver (no, I don't think Randy Moss is the answer) JMHO

I like Payton as a guy, too bad he signed with Denver. I've got bad memories of those Broncos beating the crap out of my Browns too many times. I just can't stand the Broncos so I guess I'll have to not like Payton anymore.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Having watched 95% of Manning's games, I have to say that any average pro line is good enough for Peyton to do "his thing". He spends 90% of the between plays time analyzing what the defense is giving him. He communicates that to the receivers and bam! he throws to the open receiver before defenders can get to him in his 5 step drop. At 6'5" and 240 lbs. he has the most nimble feet in the league. He senses the pressure from whereever it's coming from. He managed to avoid sacks when the O line in from of him was made up of one all star center and 4/5 low drafts or free agents. He took a lot of punishment and still threw for 4,000 yards.

I hope and pray that he is physically ready to perform. I hope he leads his next team as he did our's. I hope he does not become the next Brett Favre (how do you get FaRve out of that?).

Peyton and Eli are among the most humble professional athletes in existence today. NO ONE out prepares a Manning. NO ONE expects the same from his teammates. Neither will accept mediocre preparation. Period.

I think Denver messed up..they had a Earnhardt Jr. type guy in Tebow, fan following and ticket sales is what pays the bills. They could have built on that, Elway got what he wanted...now they have to trade Tebow to stay under the salary cap, and what did they get? A half broke late in his game QB, for 95 million....think how many players that would bring to the party... The air is thin in Denver.
Air heads that is! jmho..

I agree that he must have enough money already, Manning is a great QB if not one of the best but I sure hope he doesn't get hit and really mess himself up. What good is all that money if you have to play with your kids from a wheel chair. I guess that it's just a ego thing with these guys. JMHO
