Pecan Park: Destroyed By Flash Flood

I did a search for this, but couldn't find a post on it, so I thought I would start one.

Yesterday I believe, Pecan RV Park in San Marcos Texas was hit by a major flash flood.

Destroyed every RV there and all buildings on site. Everyone was evacuated before it hit.

Wow! Glad no one was injured. Sad about all the damage and people losing their rigs, insurance doesn't make up for the loss.

No doubt. We donated $50, even though we've never been there. But there was a rally planned next week, that's how I came across this.

It's a miracle there were not injuries! Things can be replaced, people can't!

Don't know anything about Pecan park, but there are two RV parks in Blanco off Hwy 165 that no longer exist. Was surprised to not read anything about this previously here on this forum. Was a crazy scary weekend for sure, have not see this kind of rain in years.

I drive by this rv park about once a week.

Hays county really took it. Whole neighborhoods gone as of this morning. Hwy's too - just gone. Several fatalities. This is pretty out of control down here. Bunch of fans stuck in the toyota center last night after rockets game. A lot of lights here out, schools closed. Lots of new rain overnight across Texas.

It truly is mother nature at her worst. So sorry for those who have lost life and property. Stay safe everyone.

My son is in Hays County Swift Water Rescue team for the County Fire Dept. He worked 72 hours straight. Helicopter rescues and the whole bit. They are now removing the trees and debris from up in the standing trees. Trying to prevent injuries from falling trash, etc. the Blanco river rose 40' due to the incredible amount of heavy rain. The survivors can use your prayers.
