I'll be there with bells on. The line fell silent as the 19 year old girl was trying to figure out if I would be attending the meeting or not.

A little off the subject...
A couple weeks ago I was buying groceries at the local Jewel and my debit card wouldn't work in the reader, dead mag strip. The kid at the checkout was clueless about what to do so he called over the "manager", (who was maybe 6 months older). The manager reached under the counter and pulled out one of those old credit card mechanical imprint machines. After he blew the dust off it, the kid says "what's that?"
I said, "I haven't seen one of those in 20 years". The kid says, "how does it work?"
The killer was even after they ka-chunked the card through and I signed the carbon-copy, they still had to punch the card number into the register.
sigh........

My wife used one an hour ago that took me back a bit (and upset me). She was sitting at the table and shuddered. I asked if she was cold and she said "no a ghost just walked over my grave". Now she isn't in that grave yet and hopefully won't be for many years but I do remember hearing that phrase years ago but never really understood what it meant and I still don't.

On the first day of junior English class the teacher said, "There are two words I never want to hear in this class. One is 'awesome' and the other is 'gross'."

After a pregnant pause, the laid-back kid on the back row said, "So dude! What are the two words?"
