Two nights seems short for back surgery. Hope it was successful. I am seriously considering a lumbar implant to be done in Birmingham this winter. I suppose it is time. Are you staying in Birmingham for a few weeks for healing.?

Joe,
Glad it went well, and praying for a speedy recovery, and a pain free ride in the future! Rail!

This is what my lower back looks like now on the inside. Hope you don't need all of this junk.
Wizard - looks like you had a Laminectomy that didn't hold up. I'm curious because I had one in January. The Dr. told me if it didn't work, my back would look like the picture you posted.

Hope you are doing well.

To all those suffering from Back problems and related surgery, you have my sympathy and wish for a speedy recovery.

MSHappyCampers - I can't imagine trying to convalesce from back surgery in a coach. I hope that after she recovers, you are both able to hit the road and enjoy your travels.

No, they are releasing her Saturday and we will be going back home Sunday if everything is going OK.

I think it's a Medicare thing that they kicks them out so fast!

We'll only be in the MH for the 2 1/2 hour trip home, but it's getting into and out of it that will be tough!

Make sure they give her a strong dose of her pain meds as you are leaving - like just before they remover her IV. That will usually last about 3-4 hours. Hopefully that's time enough to get her home and situated in the sticks and bricks.

I hope she has a speedy recovery, and you guys are able to be out on the road again.

Well, her pain level was too high this morning so they decided to keep her another day. I'm sure they will kick her out tomorrow, ready or not, due to Medicare requirements! Maybe another day will help, as they can give her pain medication through the IV. They will give her two 10mg Percocet before discharge to help until I can get the prescriptions filled!

Thanks again for your concerns!
