We made it home yesterday afternoon. Annette is feeling a little better but still has a long way to go. They prescribed another medicine for the nerve pain that she started today. The Percocet relieves the pain from the surgery but not the nerve pain down both her legs. Hopefully the new med will help with that! We're expecting about a 3 month recovery period.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers! God bless!

Great news that you are both safely home. Continued thoughts and prayers.

Does that mean you have 3 months to plan your next trip?

You nailed it! We have reservations in Florida for the month of January, and on the coast of Alabama for the month of February!

I have never met you folks, but have read many of your post over the years on this site.
I hope the recovery goes well, and results come sooner then expected.
I just want you to know that we wish you both many years of pain free adventures!

(Your positive attitude will help a bunch!!!)

We are in Foley for another week. Going to FL panhandle for a week and then Tampa area for a few months.

Foley area is very nice ... except this month has been about 5 degrees above normal at 94 most days ... cooling to mid 80s tomorrow and remainder of month.

Just checking. You've been home for two weeks.

How is Annette?

And, you too, of course.

She is having a lot of nerve pain down her legs, which is normal for this surgery. We go back to the neurosurgeon tomorrow for a followup. It's just going to take a lot of time for those damaged nerves to heal!

Thank you for asking!
