Federal employees tried to close river access in Wisconsin in at least one boat launch area. Seems it, and other state managed areas were purchased or developed using, in part, federal money, but the agreement always was that the state would maintain them and be responsible for managing them. Governor Walker ordered them reopened siting the fact that Wisconsin manages the areas, not the fed. I wonder how it can be justified to spend federal resources to travel to and erect brigades (or cones) at a state run/managed facility when otherwise there wouldn't be a fed anywhere on or near the facility? Aren't they spending more money to close the area than just leaving it be?
