Pollen

Now that we're in South Carolina I must say I've never seen pollen this bad anywhere we've been. I'm literally washing off my car EVERY morning. I've been going up on the roof of the coach to clean off the solar panels 3 times a week. I thought after last fall & winter I'd never say this, but bring on some rain!!!!

SOP for us living in South Eastern Virginia. We have another week or so before it starts for us. I don't bother washing my black car until mid May.

We are ramping up and should hit peak pollen in the next couple of weeks here in Central NC. I don't bother washing ANYTHING until it is over. My work car still has road salt on it from my last run up to NY, when pollen season is over I will wash ALL of it off.

Everything I own is yellow right now. I'll just stay indoors for a few more days.

Hilton Head Island. Everything here is a greenish yellow. The cars are green, the coaches are green, the bike trails are green, patio is green. Rinse the care off in the morning and by lunch it's.... You guessed it; green.
Luckily only a couple more weeks and it will be gone.

My wife and I both suffer from allergies. Last year at the Hershey RV show we were introduced to an air purifier. It was pricey but it worked better then we thought it would. Our fall allergies were so much better. Jury is out on spring pollen, (we may get snow Monday). Our house is a little over 3100 sq. ft. and it does a great job. They also make smaller units that will handle a single room. We will travel with the large unit.

Indeed they are pricey but work. I have a room size one for the MH. I was skeptical prior too the purchase so I bought a room size one for the bedroom.

Here in north central Florida, this stuff is just crazy. As a Michigan native, I've never experienced anything like this! Even stuff under a carport looks like it hasn't been washed in years! Yellow-green tint on everything. Dry weather this time of year doesn't help a thing....

ahicks....I am transplanted from the north also growing up in Central NY. My first year in the south when my white car turned green over night with pollen was interesting. This just does not happen in the north country. I guess it could be considered a trade off to shoveling snow.

If that's the case, bring on the pollen! Been wintering here for a while now, but still, every time I dodge something my northern friends have to shovel, I still grin (to myself, of course!).

We have it pretty bad here the last couple of days. Our weather has been a little crazy, from cold winter rain to heat waves in a matter of days, back and forth like this for a month or so. The trees are going crazy. I just washed and waxed the MH then the winds came, today the MH has the yellow pollen all over it.

Central Arkansas is in full pollen mode. Approaching cool front has winds blowing for the last three days and yellow tree pollen is everywhere.
