Good for you, Ken! That is encouraging. I don't understand the requirements for donating one's body, seem counter intuitive to me, shouldn't they be wanting to exam the effects of the ailments?

Hi Ken, today was a PMS day for me (Poor Me Syndrome). Thought of those that when before me(my cats,my damn cats) and those that will follow. I dragged my sorry tearful ass out of bed a 11am to watch baseball. This week I received the 'you must come in for an other biopsy' call. I don't know what more they can take out of me - I mean they removed that nasty lump from my Wallet already. Ya, the thoughts just keep running through my head - what is it -where is it - is this the end - great way to spend 4am. Well a good survivor friend of mine said PMS ONCE in a while is OK. Its almost 1pm, my team is up by 4 points, the sun is shining and after the game I'll go to a pet store to pet the Kitties. That will better my day. If you should have a PMS day - I will listen to you, without judgment, whenever you need! Be Brave and Puss Ahead. - Darryl

Hang in there. A postive mental attitude will go a long ways to living longer.

So, the soap opera continues.

Doctors have been a bit befuddled by different results from all the tests, so of course they ordered more tests.

It seems that the latest tests show the liver tumors are DEAD. couple minor little spots on the liver but again, they are not sure if they are new tiny tumors, or survivors of the last round of Y-90 treatment.

Now, there doesn't seem to be a date, or expection or anything. The Doctors have decided they don't know how long I'll be around. Peg has extended the "honey dew" list, so it seems I'll be here for the foreseeable future.

It comes with a price though. Seems one of the dead tumors is leaking some kind of fluid into my adomemal cavity. No big deal in of itself, but it is taking up space normally reserved for my overstuffed stomach. If I eat like normal, I swell up and look like I am 6 months pregnant. Who ever heaerd of a 70 year old gizzer being pregnant. Now, I have to eat 6 to 10 small snacks a day instead of 3 full meals. While it is doable, it sure takes the thrill out of "China A Buffet". I will just have to learn how to deal with that. Docs say there is not much they can do about it until and if the tumor stops leaking.

I guess it sounds strange, but there was a certain amount of peace and tranquillity when I thought the end was near. I had a workable plan on how to exit with grace, and had accomplished some things that will provide for Peg later on.

Now, there is no urgency in my life, so I am free to lay around the house and vegg. Peg usually has something for me to do, but I remind her that I have "distress of the lower tract". and need to rest. She is getting a bit cynical, and soon I will need another excuse. Life can be hard.

While I do have other issues with cancer, nothing appears to be urgent or life threatening at the time.

I guess I will just continue to stumble through life until something suggests otherwise.

While I haven't commented so far, I have read along with everyone. I have to write and tell you how thrilled I am for you!! This sentence "Peg has extended the "honey dew" list, so it seems I'll be here for the foreseeable future." made me chuckle. Sounds like the longer the list, the longer you get to stick around. If so, tell her to make it a long, long list!

Ken, that's great news! I will be praying even harder, and not just for the cancer to be healed! Just tie the knot at the end of that rope and hang on!

Chuck;

First of all, allow me to thank you and everyone else for your kind thoughts and prayers.

As for those links you sent Chuck, I took a quick look and they do look interesting. I will certainly take a closer look when we get back to Texas. I have a really bad WiFi connection, and trying to do anything on line is about useless.

Spent a week with the Grand Kids (and their parents). There just isn't anything that compares to getting a hug and a kiss from little girls. They love you for no reason at all, and that is very good for me.

Anyway, thanks again. I will be sure to let you know how things go.

Ken, grand kids are the best therapy! Glad to hear the positive update and that Peg has plans to keep you busy. Keep your great attitude and sense of humor and show the docs who's boss! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you both for continued improvement.
