I'm in the middle of reading (and loving) the James Patterson "Alex Cross" series.

I've read Odd Thomas series. I like his end of the world as we know it book (Wish I could remember the name. It is the one where the alien ship invades, Only it's not exactly what everybody thinks it is.. The heroin figures it out as the dead come back to life and the living,, Vanish and some are left behind)

And no, I won't give hints.. Only it's scary.

Currently reading a series of murder mysteries.. Called collectively the Midnight Louie series,, Louie, is a real cool cat (of the feline type) Named for the color of his coat (Think midnight in the coal bin) He runs around Las Vegas helping his pet human (Temple Barr) solve murders. Temple, has not one but two boyrfiends who complicte her life...

Cat in a Diamond Dazzle (just finished) Cat with the Emerald Eye (Just started)

Due to buying used, we have read several out of order. The books are alphebetical.. I know we have done P, and I think Q, but we are not up to Z yet, also the names tend to have color in them. (Crimimnson Haze)

Best serious by far is Stephen King "the gunslinger". Took ten years rereading the serious while waiting for the next book. What a ride!

Got a Kindle for my birthday in May. Have blasted through several Stuart Woods Stone Barrington "books". Have also DL'd a bunch of $.99 and $2.99 SciFi "books". Adding those authors to my list. Also just finished a Vince Flynn book "Foreign Influence". Most of my book buying will be for the Kindle. Sure beats hauling around all those hard and soft bound books.

10 years to read a Stephen King book.!. Having read a few of them.. I believe it Stephen never uses a word where a paragraph will do, or a sentence when he can write a chapter.. Still hard to put 'em down.

Interesting to read say "The Stand" and then watch the movie.

Or "Firestarter" (read and watched both)

Not 10 years to read one book,( I'm slow but not that slow). 10 years of him writing the next books in the series. Longest time between books was about 6 years.
Favorite author King and the Cussler
