Way back in 1981, I was a dental assistant in Kansas City. One of our patients was a priest who got into long discussions with the dentist. One such memorable discourse concerned truth telling. The priest said he was permitted to tell an "imfabology" which I am sure is misspelled and may not be the word he used. He stated that it was an "untruth meant to preserve the greater good".

I wonder if that includes the size of fish?

I heard that when I was in Korea.

I've never told a lie in my life... Well, once... to a judge, but the cop lied first.

Her fault or yours that it turned out to be a lie?

The best boast I ever heard in a "Bench Racing" discussion about what we all had under our hoods was: "I've got 2 fours and fuel injection."

You can't make this stuff up.
