Pratt KS water towers

Story has it that is was first done in 1956 by high school kids as a prank. The powers that be have re-painted it several times.

There was something like that here in MN. But, one of the towers was no longer used and they decided to tear it down. People lamented but, it did no good and for money reasons it had to go. Cost too much to paint a tower that is doing nothing.
