Price question

I have been looking for a while now and don't really have plans to buy for about a year. I have been watching prices but they fluctuate a lot depending on many things.

I have been looking at Grand Design 376 units. MSRP is about $110,000. I just found a 2018 and they are asking $85,000 for it and I am using that as a reference.

I also found a 2016 used model the dealer is asking $80,000 for but in their first reply email their "special internet price" is $65,000. How much lower would be a reasonable expectation? I am not really ready yet, but for the right deal, it might be worth it.

When I bought my first RV it was a Class C, MSRP was $56k, I paid $36 at a dealer liquidation auction. After the auction the dealer came up to me and said I got the rig for what he had into it, so the markup was ~35%. Depending on how hungry a dealer is there is a wide range of pricing.

As to used rigs it depends on the sellers motivation. What do they owe.

This is used at a dealer so was mostly wondering if the 35% still applied. They put a huge drop on their listed price already.

Was just wondering is another 10% off of the "sale price" would even be likely.

This is from a dealer and working with them is much different then from a private party.

Check comparable pricing on Ebay and RV Trader for the same year model. This will give you an indication as to the real value of the coach.

When we bought our current rig the economy was in a downward spiral. The rig was a repo and I paid ~50% of what was shown on NADA, this was in 2008. I actually see adds for like coaches still higher then what I paid so I guess I got a good deal (actually I know I did).

Take your time as you are looking and don't be afraid to walk away. Figure out what you want to pay and hold the course to get that price.
