At a recent outing our electricity went out, and I found a breaker tripped on the post. I switched it back on, the Progressive Industries SSP-30X we were using reported a reverse polarity. I took it to another post -- same thing. A neighbor plugged it into his post -- same thing. We had the post checked, and it was fine.
So we completed our two-week stay without the surge protector.
I submitted a warranty claim on Progressive Industries site including the requested photos of the male and female ends of the surge protector, but I told my wife that the list of exclusions was so long I'd be surprised if they honored it.
Then about 2 hours later I got an email that the new unit was on the way and to allow ten days. Sure enough, ten days later, we got a new unit.
