PSU Tailgating

I just purchased season tickets to Penn State home football games this year. I looked on line and it says RV parking for less than 40'. My question is are any of you longer coaches tailgating there? (We are 43'). ....or have you seen tag axle coaches parked there? If you are how can I go about making sure I won't get turned away?

Looking at their gameday parking map it looks like they have several RV lots. I would call PSU and ask them what options you have. Good luck.

I have seen units longer than 40ft you should be fine. FYI they raised the ORV rate from $60 to $120 a night I don't think we will be going anymore.

Hello Graniteman, welcome to PSU tailgating, did you buy RV parking with your season tickets? If you did you will be given an area to park, we are in Blue RV which is on Porter Rd. south of the baseball field, we meet at Walmart on Friday pre-tailgate there then head over to the stadium on Saturday morning. there are 4 of us that tailgate together. There are some 40' plus RV's in the Blue RV lot. The overnight lot is another option, the fee for the lot we park in is $350. for the 7 home games, its a gravel lot, I.ve been there as late as 5pm on Sunday. Happy Tailgating

No issues with length.... we have seen all sizes and shapes. We go to a couple games a year...or should I say we tailgate a couple of times per year as I personally have never been to a game. It's a wonderful experience camping on the ORV lot. However that being said... the 120.00 per night fee might steer us clear as well.

I just investigated... I believe it's a 120.00 for 2 nights. Not so bad....

Wow...they obviously want to scale back the number of RV's. Perhaps they should eliminate the rental companies that drop their units in on Thursday and take up countless spaces! At the Ohio State Game last year I think that 1/2 the units in the lots were Rentals!

At 120.00 per night...we won't be going this year as well!

Thanks for sharing.

I was curious about the change in policy so I personally call PSU Athletics to get clarification.

The 120.00 dollars allows for entrance on Friday morning with a departure time on or before 12 noon Sunday. So yes the price has doubled however it is not 120.00 dollars per night as someone else suggested,

Kim
