Well, after stalling for 3 weeks, I finished winterizing the Knight today and put her away.
I filled the diesel tank, put in some stabilizer, and drove around for half an hour with the genny running.
Drained all the watyer, blew out the system, and then at the lastminute decided to put the pink stuff in just to make sure.
Fully charged all 4 plus 2 batteries.
I pulled the 4 6 volt house batteries out at home, then drove to the storage lot.
When there, I found that while the Power Gear leveler control panel runs off the chassis batteries, the pump itself seems to run off the coach batteries.... which were 2 miles away in my garage.
So I just dumped the air, pulled the chassis batteries out, sealed her up, and called it good.
Also took a few to do an oil change in the wrangler, and put the hardtop on.
Sleep tight my Knight, see you in the spring!!!

I feel your pain, Jim. We winterized 2 weekends ago & last weekend I cleaned all the inside surfaces/windows, ran the sweeper, put the dust covers on the furniture & then locked the door until spring comes again. Only 5 months, 29 days, 3 hours & 30 minutes until it's time to unlock the door to start another camping season.

I know this will make you really feel good, but it is finally cool enough that we can really ENJOY camping.

Hope yall have a good winter, not to cold. Like TX said, its just now getting cool enough to really enjoy rving. We live in South Georgia but will soon be heading for South Florida for the "winter" time. Of course our winter aint that bad here at home but we just like to be on the beach during the holiday period. Yall de-ice those coaches and come South, the weather is fine. John 2006 Monarch

Never heard of stabilizer for the diesel tank. Where do you get it?

This is the first year I've had the opportunity to escape south for the winter.
Unfortunately, Peggy won't retire until next June. She'll be freezing her buns off back in WI for one more winter. But at least she's got a nice closet sized apartment to enjoy.

beachboy27, Sta-bill is for gas & diesel fuel, add for size tank you have and run also Gen before putting away.
Any auto store or Wal-Marts would have it.

Winterized mind two weeks ago, waiting to pick it up from the glass shop since I had to have the passenger side windshield replaced.
Of course it was done on Friday and we had the snowstorm on Saturday so it's still sitting at the glass shop until I can pick it up and get it into its winter garage.!
Can't wait until spring,,,, I hate winter and I hate snow........

Winterized yesterday after big snowfall and overnight temps to 20* caught us by surprise. Fortunately nothing froze and I was able to blow out the lines, add anti-freeze, and put stabilizer in the full fuel tank. Still have to wash and cover after a nice day.

Winterize: Check heaters, checked for insulation needs, put heated water hose back in, coolant checks, tank full, stablizer, etc.
Make sure everything is ready for below zero temps.
Fulltiming....

Did our MH winterizing several weeks ago. Now it is slumbering in its garage. Soon we'll probably have a white coating on the ground.

Yes....we are also counting down the days until we have to winterize. We are holding off to go one more time next weekend and then we will use the pink stuff. I am going to schedule the body shop to fix the compartment door that hubby had the oops moment with and then hopefully, God willing, we will be de-winterizing in January as we head south for a month in January. Then back home again and more pink stuff until April.
I love my Big Baby and I am going to miss her until we get rolling again....
