Question looking for answer.

This question is for everyone. I'm interested in the statistics. Here we go. "If you own a motorhome, travel trailer, fifth wheel, class A,B C Super C or a small teardrop, why do you still go to RV shows? I have my theories but let's see what you think.

Jeff

While we go to the shows to wander through new units, I am usually more interested in what the vendors have to offer. There are always "new and exciting" gadgets that I'd like (and sometimes do) add to our rv.

What are your theories? I would say in our case we like to see what is new on the market for a comparison to what we have already. Think of it this way, we see commercials on the screen all the time showing what the new cars and trucks look like. There really are no commercials for any kind of RV. The show gives us a chance to see what is going on with the market.

Get ideas for upgrades, see if the manufacturers have come up with anything new (they really haven't) or if it's mostly just extra bling, check out what the vendors have to offer, get brochures for campgrounds we've never been to, go through the 500K coach that we wouldn't buy even if we could afford it because it won't fit in our favorite campground, and just have something to do on a winter day that reminds us of summer and camping.

I'm headed to the FL RV supershow today. Mostly to just confirm I'm happy with what I have and to see any new gadgets.

We go to the RV show and walk through the class A's and say if they wanted to trade even up for our rig we would say no thanks. I think the "bling" factor in most cases looks "cheap" and looks to be problematic in the near future. I find few paint schemes that are to my liking. Don't get me wrong there are many things I like and have even upgraded my rig to. I do like the vendor isle.
