Hi there Papaw, greetings from your erstwhile neighbor.
I find it unbelievable that a detaching end cap can be put down to normal wear and tear - quite frightening in fact. When will it be our turn?
Just a thought - are you in the FMCA? If so, you should know their monthly magazine carries a section at the back called Hot Line where members have written in complaining about cases where they have been shafted by warranty companies or dealers. The might of the FMCA has been brought to bear in support of the member and in practically all cases (or at least those which have been published) the member has been satisfactorily reimbursed.
Again, just a thought - I wish you luck in your case.

Steve:
I just put the ladder back from looking at our rear cap - the rubber roof extends over the rear cap almost 2" and has a piece of molding over the seam also. This keeps the "wind" from lifting the cap. When it's repaired, you might make an "improvement" to the way it was done. Just a suggestion.

MartinC and Teffy - - both good suggestions. Will ask about the repair that was done by our dealership. Will ask dealer about the exact wording used by Allegiance in denying the coverage on the cap separation.

Tim:
We went to see the oldest son today and happened to drive past "Marten Dies Jr. SP". We've heard so much about it we decided to go in and look it over. While we were getting our day pass they ask me what kind of camper we had, When I told them a MH, they wanted to know if we'd ever thought about hosting. I told them about our conversation of the other day and they wanted to know if we could start next week after our background check. They have several openings right now and two more this winter. They want a 90 day commitment, but will settle for at least a 30 day. I told them that I lived in Tx and it was too hot for me to be outside in July and Aug. I've become a woosie. I was surprised to learn that they had openings at a time when the "Snowbirds" are here. You gave us a lot of "food for thought". We may get to Colorado this summer and see about hosting.
To all:
We were driving up to see Nick when the AC quite running. I looked at the volt meter and it was at "0" but the Onan was still percolating, so I guess it goes into the shop this week. You can't be poor and own a MH. But I think that sometimes it'll make you poor. Steve - I can't get extended warranty (too old) so I'm going to have to "bite the bullet" and see how much.

Bob give it a try, if you can break out of that shyness you have and get out and visit with folks in the park you'll love it. Lol
All those with good, great or any suggestions on the Son of the FEGC get those things Steve mentioned and get those suggestions summited! I for one am ready to gaither! Doing the homework and summiting the form will make it so much easier on Steve and the temps. Knowing what has been posted is not a issue, summit what you want to do!
Thanks to Steve and others for their kind words toward me, I'll discuss with Mary her remarks! Lol

I'm sorry, Steve, I misinformed you. I read two RV magazines- MotorHome and the FMCA one. It is the former one that has the Hot Line segment.

Can't do it now. Gotta prepare for out-of-state and local guests for my DW pinochle extravaganza. 4 days of chefin, chefin, chefin for 13 ladies between the ages of 42 and 82. And then we host 15 -20 neighbors for the monthly euchre extravaganza. We supply the entrée the rest is a pitch-in and euchre.
|
My gosh, we haven't played pinochle since 1982. Use to stay up on Fri and Sat nights until 2 a.m. playing that game. Easily 3-4 hands or more every night.

I got one of those small 1hp garden pumps that thinks it's a real pump. Has one of those spider like impellers that take a set if you leave them in too long.
Currently working on a Holly Red. I have a valve plumbed in on the output side. Anybody know the flow rating if a Holly red. Plan to power it with my battery charger. I'll flush out the old gasoline residue with a can of formula. What could happen? It gives me throat cancer. Zing! Report at 11.
As a side, every time I go to walk away from a bench or my desk, I still feel like I'm hooked to an umbilical cord.

It works, it works with variable output! Success. I knew I could do it. Just hope I don't get in a haste and feed myself too fast. I can set the amount; just have to eyeball the flow.
Was a hard road. Windshield washer pumps suck and there isn't anything in the fish world that would work. Gonna let it run for a while to purge the pump.
Mutant minds sometimes get clogged. I forgot about the 3 automotive pumps I had on a garage shelf. Onward. I feel like MacGyver. Wonder what the in home services person is going to think. They are coming tomorrow to show me something I already know. (third feeding tube). Will demonstrate to them that I don't need the painlessly slow and messy bolus feeding. Hope it succeeds in the real use. I have yet to hook it up to my belly. Think I need to know how fast it empties from one container to the other.
BTW, I spent all day going back and forth to HD to get a spare key made and a weed eater. Some how in the fisasco last week, I lost my spare keys. HD could make a key that fit my door knob, but it wouldn't fit the dead bolt like the other keys I have. Tried 6+ times. I even took the locks to them and still NG on three different machines. We decided I should go to Ace where they have a real key cutting machine instead of the leggo type at HD, but by then they were closed
Maybe this pump will inject some air so I can get a couple lf relieving burps. I love a good burp. All 8 fittings are Teflon® sealed for your protection. I'll think about putting a fuse on it, but it is only 12 volts DC.
