He kaughed and said no its tomorrow, i turned around went to the calendar, looked and said... Oh you are so right..... Lol. I know what the date of our Anniversary is, the 25th, i know today is Saturday, but i did not know that today was just the 24th...... Besides being a STM, and retired, I don't do numbers....
SMILE, BUT I think it will be 12 years tomorrow......
Sue, trying to get into puppy mode, making new crate covers today, not painting, but getting paintings ready to show. Our Repertory Theater has artist exhibit during a month. I take 5 paintings on Tuesday, had to pick and get them ready. 3 are full sheet, 2 smaller..... Need to paint, but i have a portrait commission i need to do, and just dont wanna.... But past the hump, am now driving and lifting as normal...... Thanks... It is wonderful to not have that heart attack pain from the Gstones......
Have a great Memorial Day... Larry loves the movies... He switches back and forth, went from Iwo Jima to Bizmarck a whike ago, till I got seasick.......
We will be in Maryland and Pennsylvania in early july, and then definitely going to Texas, in October..... Diane ....

Happy (almost) Anniversary! So you celebrate over 2 days instead of 1 ... Double your pleasure, double your fun!
Wonderful that you are back up to speed again and able to ready your work for showing! Enjoy!
Our little local artists' guild (in a town of less than 1,000 folks!) finally folded, so I haven't a local show to participate in. There is another one 20 miles or so away that might accept entries, but I've never tried that one.
Puppy mode, eh? I'm truly green-eyed! Martin just isn't interested yet, not even enough to think about breeds. :( Oh well. Time enough later.
Cheers!
Sue

I'm having a relaxing time with my Dad here on his 17 acres.
The internet sucks tho as he has the old, cheapest dial-up still available in this wide world...so can't watch any videos, TV shows or do chats. But...I remind myself...that's not why I'm here!
Yesterday, we fed his Catfish, Mud Turtles and Red-eared Sliders in his pond. The water's quite murkey, so pics probably wouldn't show much. he says it's only clear water in the winter time when the anumals are hanging around at the bottom and not moving much.
We visited the LUC Trading Post (benefit to a local boys' home) on HWY 86 yesterday, and bought a couple things.
Not going to do much this weekend as we anticipate Eureka Springs to be a nightmare BC of the Mem. Day holiday. However, we will be watching the race on Sunday together (my Dad is an ex-racer, and still presently a hot-rod builder).
Got into a discussion with him about putting in some real and level RV pads for me and friends , but I don't think he's on board for it...mostly RE: costs. Anyway, there's logistical issues (aren't there always?)
Would love some input from you all regarding real costs for putting in those?
|
Cindy,
Instead of thinking big, like full cement pads, think of just 12 inches or a little more wide cement tracks that are fairly level. Considerably less cost than full pads. Also, instead of cement, level the area and throw in crushed rock or river rock. Jacks can be used with 3/4 inch plywood on ground or gravel/crushed rock.
More info if needed.

I'm just a bit jealous of you talented artistic types who can do such lovely work and don't have a little helper like mine who would enjoy undoing whatever I managed to do. <sigh>

No fly in...Bob decided too much rain in forecast. Seems to have discouraged some holiday campers. We went to a local lake with lots of shade instead. I've been pondering where to leave my barrel o' monkey hanging...at my site or at the marina where all go to pay.....decisions, decisions. Maybe one at each spot!
Everyone brought their dogs and some don't talk so nice to Bess... Sure is nice when home gets unpleasantly crowded to have a home on wheels to take off in for a few days!

Yes, she could, but then I'd have to face the fact that I got mechanical ability, not artistic talent (left brain vs right) and then there's what happens that one time that I don't double check the lock on that cabinet and did I mention NO talent? To be honest, I've found my art attempts frustrating, not joyful or relaxing. I do appreciate the efforts of others and am amazed by what y'all can create.

Don't sell yourself short! Mechanical ability is just as creative! I've also built 2 wooden boats in the past, a sailing dinghy and a rowing boat for my son when he was young. Lived on a sailboat I owned for a time. Need to be mechanical for that, lol. Just as bad as RVs for things going wrong, plus, when you drop a tool it tends to disappear, glug, glug,

Long time not posting;

Long time ago?

Gone asleepin' every one,

When I had a floating RV eventually all my boat tools had thongs attached to the boat close to where I was using them. I bet I placed about $300.00 worth of Craftsman and MasterCraft tools onto the bottom of Huron and Superior evenly.
