Well there you are stranger. While I greatly appreciate your timely and informative post - you can't get it outta here that easily. How, where, what - are ya, ya been, been doing... And so on.

Also - on the Equinox - we are only looking at the 4 Cylinder with LT1 package. Not all the bling - but some - and having driven old cars for so long it's pretty amazing. Backup camera is nice. The road behind the dealership is undeveloped - so I punched it. I told the guy - ya know I read the 4 cylinder was sluggish, but compared to the Motorhome it runs like a scalded dog. LOL.

Now tell us what's been going on. We've missed you!

Hey Dave and Deb - good to hear from ya! Hope you're feeling better and enjoying being at or near the ole stomping grounds. Well - we did look but not drive the CRV - may need to do that...

Maybe we will just go on the road without a toad and drive around the country looking for the perfect Jeep deal. Oh wait - we're thinking we probably aren't Jeepers.

Well, if you are thinking you are probably not Jeepers, don't look at Jeeps. But is there still a possibility, that is the question.

Oh, and Select Jeeps will ship anywhere in the US for $499.00. What a bargain.

Sounds like a plan Wayne! Until Annie and I jumped into Jeff and Marcia's we had not been in a Unlimited - and until driving one yesterday - never driven one. So wasn't sure how we felt about it. It seems that for us - the theory and allure of the Jeep is more in the abstract than reality. I'm pretty sure that doesn't make us bad people.... Just wasn't sure about it - and not sure I'm sure yet... But I am sure that whatever we get - it will be new. Thanks for the tips though.

And again a Holiday weekend spent NOT in a campground. I believe this is our third year home on Memorial weekend. Sure not missing the rude, wild, noisy, amateurs in the state parks. But wouldn't have missed a day of it in the past, with our courteous, tame, quiet, experienced family and friends!
I hope everyone can take a few moments to ponder, in memoriam, our lost but not forgotten military casualties. And also all unproclaimed mutants who have gone before and are missed by family and friends.

Judy,
You are not alone staying home for the Holiday. We are usually out of TC by this time and we have plans to head East/N'orEast. Ship is in the shop, Earlene is recovering from foot surgery and dental work, but as soon as we can we will be "On The Road Again," and playing that song.

Good Morning Mutey's.

Looks Yummy. Saturday night I had a NY Strip wrapped in big pieces of bacon, so I am ok for the moment.

Wow...give those mosquitoes a little rain and they come back 10 fold! Morning muties ....birds sure are all happy with all the bugs about! Think I might see if a friend of mine can make a screen room to attach to awning as I really like this place minus the Skeeters.

Morning RVMdom!!!

Sittin outside drinking my java and listening to the light rain bouncing off the awning. The songbirds are singing, nobody in the park apparently up and moving yet this morning. Must have been the hard partying going on late last nite.

Just catching up on the posts too. Steve over in South Ft Worth Meador Jeep, they are no hassle and high volume because they sell cheaper than the other dealers. Look into a no frill Cherokee 4X4. They are not pricey, have smooth ride, good on fuel, flat towable without going thru steering wheel unlock or running the fluid thru the tranny every 5 hours. They ride like a car should ride but have off road capabilities. They are cheaper than the pricier Jeep Models too. You get the best of both worlds if strip down model is what your after.

Oh I forgot to tell you, before I bought the jeep, I bought Barb a Mini Cooper convertible with the intentions of using that as our toad. You have to have the 6 speed standard tranny but it is definitely fun to drive. Of corse then my DW decides she doesn't want to pull it behind Jenny because her pretty little convertible will get messed up with rocks and dings. But it would make a great toad.
