I certainly resemble that statement, and the shirt does not have to be an all white T-shirt.

Of what?

By the way, I had my first VA physical yesterday. Went well. Doc said as I walked out of the exam room, "Don't forget to bring us a copy of your living will when you come for the next appointment". I'm still pondering that send off as I exit the building.

No problemo ... wife has ample supply of "living will" copies. Stored right beside the dog-eared life insurance policy.

Still here and still following the Rainbow.
At least mentally.

Returned from The long delayed trip to Daughter's home, visited grand children and great grand daughter. Great visit with family and then in New Orleans. We enjoyed our spot by her home on the Tchefuncte River,
near Folsom, La.

After leaving, one week later, her property flooded and where we were parked had 5 feet of water covering the property. That lasted almost a week.

Water went down, property cleaned up and life goes on. No major damage only small stored items were damaged and the garden needed replanting. The house is on stilts for a reason.

We are back home, paying the Doctors for their checkup time and avoiding the heat while getting summer yard work done.

I am finding what my Dad said was true.
"When you are retired you never have time off".
It seems to be true more than ever lately and the pay is sure less.

Hope all have a great summer.

"What a long strange trip it's been" still holds true.

I do believe we are Mutants...we don't have a big diesel and we don't miss it.

But you have a Jag? Not your toad, I assume.

Hiya, rvjag! You seem to be at least halfway to official mutant status, and a proper welcome ... and an official number, too. Just tell us that you live by the credo that says the journey is the destination and you'll be there. Some bigwig officious ... no, I mean official ... person will be along to bestow all the rights and privileges upon you.

While you're at it, tell us a bit about yourselves. We aren't nosy; it's just easier to be Family if we share some.

Me, I'm from IL, ride along in our DP from Thor, spin and knit, weave and tat, draw and paint. No pets at the moment; grown kids. DH is the mechanical, electrical genius in the family as well as the driver.

Somebody stop me before I start Chapter 2! I get too long-winded once I begin.

Cheers! Nice to meet you.
Sue

The picture of your daddy is wonderful! A real down to earth kinda guy, wasn't he?

Happy memories. Cheers!
