RVM30 answering roll call. We had no internet at Boyd Lake State Park, outside of Loveland, Co. But we had an excellent experience as the place emptied after the weekend.
We are disappointed that the Colorado Parks are so lacking. They are so proud of their parks, but we don't see why. They are neglected, the trees are infested with bugs, worms, and aphids, but they don't spray them. They wait for them to die, then cut them down and plant another sapling. They didn't pick up trash from the long weekend until late yesterday. The weeds in the campsites hadn't been mowed for weeks until yesterday.
And there is hardly any water in the lake, even though the adjoining 2 lakes are full. The swim beach is closed due to low water level. The mutating taking place there is not good.

Judy - that was a non-mutant experience for sure. Sorry to hear that.

Hopefully you mutated around the local attractions and elevated the journey a bit. Pushing 100 hear. Hopefully it was at least cool in them thar nearby mountains.

Can't complain on the weather, as each day, just as the heat built, a magnificent mutation occurred, bring breezy clouds. A few sprinkles, and then clearing and cool evenings were the norm.
We watched the adult son ride his bike in a circuit race, scary that! Visited with his teenaged daughters, and our other, younger, granddaughters came to visit us with their Mom, too. So had both families around for some quality interacting. If I didn't have the dentist to see tomorrow in Denver, we would have extended our stay.

I'll tell you what's mutated. It's these local news casters. Get a little dust storm (Haboob) and they make it a 20 min prelude to the important news. Come on... We get them every summer. Gotta go.... Just saw a Red Solo Cup blowing down the street by some guy named Keith... Or was it Toby? Gotta call it in... but to which station?????? Decisions, decisions.

Barb and I were in Loveland the same time you guys were there. We just got back to home base. Sorry to here you had a bad experience. We were at Riverside RV Park on the Big Thompson River and loved it. Really nice and clean park. Our grand kids were in the ball tourney there so we spent our days watching fast pitch softball. We did have a free day and spent it at Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Did the machine perform as it should? You ought be all comfy with everything now. Good feeling when the mutation takes over!

I didn't mean to imply we had a bad time, just to vent about how our state parks are suffering from neglect. We have so many beautiful parks here, and they go to extraordinary lengths to acquire the land and improve it. Then they just let them go. When they are expecting crowds, they should arrange for extra trash pick up, and mow the weeds in anticipation. But instead they wait for it to be over, then clean it up. They charge $8.00 to enter the park, then $20 to camp, with the only utility being electric. 128 sites sold out every weekend and about 30 or 40 rented during the week. It should afford for some maintenance and preventive measures for the trees. That is bad mutating.
We did enjoy our time spent there, but didn't get the new shower head installed.

Judy - that shower head mutation would have made everything else less annoying! I admit and am somewhat embarrassed say I had mine installed at shop - but they were doing other things so 15 minutes labor was buried so deep I didn't notice it. I kept the original just in case cause it was actually pretty good. But - the Oxygenic is even better and the water savings is really noticeable. You'll appreciate that in parks without sewer!

Attention Kroger shoppers!

Local store has recently added "children's shopping carts" complete with flag pole. Now a soccer mom with five kids can race into the store and clog up several aisles at once.

It was a zoo in the store today. Kids screaming because there are not enough small carts for them. Kids having cart races. Kids pushing each other in the carts, while racing, of course.

Now the parking lot is strewn with tiny carts that likely will get mashed under the bumpers of massive soccer mom SUVs.

Bad idea Kroger ... Bad idea !!

Will do Steve! Yep the mutant-mobile was flawless and except for tweaking a few things we are all settled in. I put the Oxygenics shower head on ours and we love it. Did have the antenna assembly fall out in my hands last nite but only because set screw was loose. Allen wrench fixed that right up and all is good to go.

We settled into Jelleystone RV Park because its close to the grand kids so wifey is happy happy happy!
