Thundershirts really work. Lily was terrified when the RV first started to move even though she had lived in it for 2 months parked at my daughter's house. She was car sick and shivering non-stop. I bought her a thundershirt which she wore for about 2 weeks every time I started the engine. After that she no longer needed it. The trick is to make sure it's snug around their chest, like a continuous hug.

Nuh-uh. Bug. Spiders have 8. Trust me: I know an entomologist.

Pretty, though.

I can see about 18 mutants with a post all typed out awaiting the arrival of 17999 and then we'll bring down the server with all those posts expecting to be #18,000.

Sorry Sue, there wasn't much more than rocks and trees, but I thought I'd catch a pic or two on the way back to the harbor. THEN, the tide must have changed because there were huge cargo ships coming up river every 5 minutes.

I found myself fighting the current and the wakes from the ships I was so pooped by the time I got back into the harbor and got myself out of the kayak -- dry for a change, that the only thing I could think about was when nap time was.

Next time I'm going up river. That way the current can take me home. I sorely underestimated the strength of the current. And today my arms are sore from all the heavy duty paddling.
