Oh WOW, what a cool babe magnet. With that Merc back in high school, I might even have been able to get Jeana Statutory to speak to me.

Curious, isn't it, about the mutants and their old cars? I remember sitting on the porch in the evenings and naming the models of the approaching cars by the shape/position of the oncoming headlights. We tried to be first to correctly guess. But now it would be impossible to even try such an endeavor.
And boy what a splash of media excitement when the new models came out in the fall. How lucky we all have been, to have grown up when we did. Not suggesting it was bad to grow up in the 70's or later, just pondering the good fortune of our older generation.

Those were and are a beautiful car, much like a work of art. A perfect example of "ART DECO". form of art.

Game of vehicle recognition; ah yes it was fun because cars back then had unique exteriors. Now, they all look like a modified jelly bean. No pizazz, no more Art Deco. Even the old bus lines used Art Deco bus styles. Here is a Flxible Clipper repurposed to a MotorCoach:

Stanton!! Of course. Well, at least I was close. That sign has been there over 50 years that I know about.

I'm trying hard to catch up. This is one chatty group!

Moonrover, as of page 183 I haven't found the link to your pics. Maybe my iPad is to blame??? Please post it again, or put it in your signature. I wanna see what everyone is raving about.

Today on the Oregon coast its 63 degrees, sunny, with a nice sea breeze. C'mon over, we got plenty to share!

Congrats (or condolences) Bruce. What areas of IRV2 have been assigned to you? I suppose this means we must be better behaved here

According to my remote thermometer, it was 113s in my MH yesterday. I have the bathroom door and vent over the tub/shower at half mask to vent some of it. If it rains, it can only get the tub wet. A couple weeks ago, it was 120 in there.

It is over in Bus Conversions which is stealthily hidden under Truck Conversions. I do have many more photos of "in-process" but they are on the big computer. Yet to be linked to DropBox.

Barb - just search threads by Moonrover. You'll find it right away in the Bus department.
