It wasn't! My wife saw me about 20' in the air. Drank half the lake on that one!
I have a visual on that. Holy moly!

It was always about jumping the wakes, the bigger the better. And what induced the nifty spills. Overconfidence and being a show-off for the young ladies were also heavy contributors.

The momentary zero gravity at the apex of the "jump" was a nice by-product.

A Mutant, even then!

I can say I've fished from a boat, I've skied from a boat, I've tubed from a boat and now the big thing seems to be surfing from a boat and I can say I've done that! Boat, big wake, board no rope, actually easier than you might think!

Huntnsurf, doesn't have the same ring to it.

Other great ponderances to catch up, Mom had a Corvair, loved to drive it, news came out it was unsafe she claimed Dad was trying to kill her and made him sell it.

My first car, 58 Ford, 3 speed, shift in floor. One cool dude.

My first ride was a 56 Chevy Bellaire 2Door Post. I was so proud of that car...black and white! She was an automatic with a huge box air conditioner in the front floor board. If you turned on the compressor and not the fan it would build up ice on the coils and blow snow cone on you when you turned on the fan. My girlfriend had to straddle that monster so she could sit next to me and put her arm around me while we were driving . I guess back then that was the female way of staking her territory!

We cruised many a DQ's revving the engine so everybody could here my new duals with glass-packs. Those were the days!

It's mighty quiet here in the mutant neighborhood. We are prepping for a journey. No Jury Duty, so now are feeling free. Figure by the time I'm next able to view these ponderences there will be much catching up to do. Y'all stay safe till then.

When we got our South Dakota drivers licenses the clerk told us if we ever got a jury summons to just write "Full Time RV" on it and mail it back.

Hmm, my first car when I was 17 was my Dad's old '61 or 62 Desoto sedan with the giant fins on the back and a big old V8. It had a pushbutton transmission on which the buttons sometimes would stick, so I would have to get under the dash to fix them. Electric windows. Had to sit on a pillow to see over the steering wheel, but I felt cool. When I got my first job and bought a car it was a '66 Valiant with black bucket seats instead of a bench, lol. Gas was 30 cents a gallon .Funny, back then wheels meant freedom. When I had kids they were supremely uninterested in driving and did not get their licences 'till their late 20s.

Huntnski, if you truly want to see the end of the world drive Hwy 50 across Nevada from California to Ely, Nevada. Now there truly is the end of the world. About 350 miles of nothing except 2 small towns before you get to Ely. I think we saw 2 vehicles on that highway. It is aptly called the "Loneliest Road in America".

I think TEFFY has been gobbled up by a fault line in California.

And 4kids was headed to Plano (my neck of the woods) and hasn't been heard from lately.

Oh where oh where can our mutants be? Oh where oh where have they gone?

Lots of mutants are mutating and not been heard from for a while. If that's you - let us know you're still mutating and doing fine.

Like you Sylviacub - how's progress coming along?

Where's Oldme been hiding?

Inquiring mutants what to know!

Huntnski, we were on our home way from Alaska. Rather than drive down to Los Angeles to go across to Las Vegas we went across Northern California. That is how we found Hwy 50. I can now say without a doubt that on the whole trip, we were gone for 2 months, that, that was the longest and most boring day we had on the whole trip. And, that includes driving across Southern New Mexico on I-10 and I-20 to our home out here good ole Big Spring, TX.

Still on the path of not having a S&B abode to care for. Been fish nibbling and maybe one is about the grab the hook.

Lots of real miles in the last 30 days or so. Lots of adventures and a couple lesson's learned too.

DW may have to mutate into a retired person very soon if things don't change at her J-O-B. If S&B sells soon...gonna be a major chemical reaction forcing retirement mutation for both of us.

Still don't own any rope lights either. We do own an enclosed canopy so that we can sit outside and enjoy the night skies without too many bugs. I refuse to mutate into a mosquito pin cushion.

Off to Newmar this Sunday for minor repair of MH after I put a boo boo on my home trying to pull in a slide with a basement door open.

Not nearly as mutated as #1 & #2 but paying attention daily.
