Marty - when I was in the hospital with Swine Flu the doctor ordered to me to get well and feeling like myself again and then get to a cardiologist. They called both my primary insurance and Tricare for approvals. First appointment didn't even have a copay. We shall see.

I have too many risk factors currently and past.. gotta go calling my name.

We will sit out here in the lobby waiting for the results. Anything above 120/80 and Steve goes on a bacon free diet. Also he will be assigned to a dietitian who is an Army drill instructor.

I know how to do "shucks," do it all the time when raising both shoulders. Especially reading this thread about all the shucking.

Yep! Met some Army worms in my days. Navy and Air Force also.

Salad is not food. Food eats salad. I eat food therefore I get my salad.

YMMV. 😁
Absolutely the best way to get salad.

Today I left the river house in the RV, with the car in tow, and drove to Puyallup, WA where my friend Don is spending his last week as an inpatient at Good Samaritan Rehab Hospital recovering from Gullian-Barre syndrome. I'm spending 3-4 days up here learning how to care for him, especially his tracheostomy.

So the hospital has 1 RV electric hookup and I reserved it. Debbie, who handles that, said she would park the hospital van there since it is frequently taken by someone ignoring the RV only parking sign. That she did do. But she also said she would move the van back to it's space at 3 PM, which she didn't do. And she left early today. Thanks, Debbie!

I tried parking in the van's space, but it was on an impossible slope. So, brilliant me sees a flat stretch of gravel next to the RV space and decides to park there. Only problem was this cliff behind the gravel space that I miss-judged the distance behind me and long story, short -- all the sudden I found my right rear end low and my left front tire about 10 inches above the gravel. OOOOOPPPS!

My Good Sam towing insurance paid for itself this year. Nothing was damaged beyond my pride. The tow bar very neatly put one arm on either side of a tree and only a nick the size of a quarter in the tree bark. It took all of 5 minutes to winch it out.

One more lesson learned the hard way.
And just how was the "pucker" factor. You should have listened to the eek eek eek eek eek warning.

Steve did not keel over. In fact I hardly noticed a thing. Not sure if that is good or bad. They will take more pictures in about 30 minutes. All I felt was a little light headed. The guy that was moaning just came back to the waiting room. He seems smiley and ok.

Good Morning STMs!

Well...we are back "home" in Champaign, IL. Lots of things going on.

On the maintenance front we are waiting for a new AC to come in to replace our "new" front one. That could take at least a week but we are parked in a nicely shaded area of D&W Lake CG so it isn't so bad plus the temps dropped today. When we have that done we will also have an engine plate gasket replaced. All FREE after warrantee coverage. We expect 2 days in Normal, IL will be in our future.

On the health front I saw my primary care yesterday and will see both a back specialist and cardiologist in the next few days. The only reason for the cardiologist is that my primary really would like a follow up after my bout of Afib during my pneumonia episode a month ago. She also had me do another set of chest X-rays to make sure it was all gone.

We are planning 6 weeks here but will adapt as needed. Could be shorter, could be longer.

In the mean time I have lots of little projects to keep me busy. My BIL is already asking for things he can help me with.

Woo-hoo! Welcome back! Maybe we could squeeze in another dinner at Kamakura. This time we have a coupon for you! Sushi here we come!

Isn't this weather just unbelievable for IL in late July?! It makes all those outdoor activities so much more enjoyable. Sweat dripping and running into the eyes and the gnats and sweat bees that follow it are just such a nuisance. We can do without them nicely, thank you very much!

Cheers! And best of luck on your medical follow ups and all.
Sue

Ahhh ... Ummm ... If you didn't notice a thing, as you say, then you prolly weren't working hard enough at it! Nobody yelled, "Mush, you husky!" at you?

I'll just bet the other guy was all smiley ... It was over and he survived!

Cheers!

The stuff they injected me with went straight to my head, but then that's what it was supposed to do, and I got to lie down and relax while they took a look and a buncha pictures. I'll bet you didn't have that luxury.

What's the half-life? Is this going to turn you into a mush mouth?

It may not be bacon but...

While visiting the land of the Yoopers I got re-aquainted with pasties. MMMMM...Yooper soul food. Dobber's makes some great pasties. I was smart enough to get a 1/2 dozen frozen ones. 1 pasty is good for 2 meals for me.

Lunch time!

Mushmouth it is... some Tha- something - the - other. A year or two of sunlight... for pictures - and not sure what the 2 minute head shot stress was - he said but I did not retain. My post BP was good and I think I'm ok... Will have results tomorrow. Next week is there an echo echo echo echo in here.

Hey Marty got your PM - thanks!
And I think I the nuclear stress test has probably been refined enough these days that they don't whip ya on treadmill if there is any reason not to... but I don't know for sure.

I agree the stress tests are much improved... Much better than the old treadmill.... Do they still do that at all any more!
