So was talking to Barb a minute ago - and mentioned it was getting harder to work. She said - are you counting days. Long story short - the internet counts for me

85 days until retirement...

I had a "days left" app on my tablet, but I kept changing the date so often that I had to disable the app. My retirement date did finally arrive last year, and it is great.
Did I tell you my boss had to do my job, of renewing the tags on all 3 fleets this year and he quit. He called me to come in for a contract job to do it, but I was out of state so he had to deal with it. And he gave them 2 weeks notice as soon as he finished the third company's license plates.
I felt pretty good about myself when he told me.
In Colorado, every piece of equipment from generator to giant track hoe, to fusing machine or compressor, has to be registered and tagged every year. And they have to have emission test on all the trucks before they will issue renewals on them.

And I told Steve that was way too easy and high tech. I thought he needed a wall calendar and a red magic marker to cross off the days each morning. That is much more satisfying!

Born at night, but not last night. 😁 👓

Storm

We had a huge storm go through our area yesterday. It lasted all day. Lightning, torrential rain, wind. Trees down, power lines down. Our crews worked till 3 AM. I was back at it at 5:30AM.

Man, being on call sucks!

This is a picture of a tree that was struck by lightning in my neighbors yard around 5:00PM yesterday. That tree is about 150 from where my house is.

Close!

Hey Steve ours was a 57 Ford station wagon. Many vacations in that car with my brother and sister and our dog. Dad and Mom hauled us everywhere too. Great memories!

First, a museum in a house from the 1700s.
Very nice photo's Tina. Lets' see the rest of them.

Earlene wants all the pictures on her iPad from camera and iPhone. The iPhone is easy, just use "airdrop," but for the Canon I have a short pig-tail adapter. Plugs into the iPad then the USB cable plugs into the other end. Connect to camera and turn the camera on and you can import all into "Photos," or selectively import only the ones you want. Works for me.

If I were to say I had a fear it would be of any strong winds associated with thunderstorms. I've been rattled by thunder a few times but nothing close in lightening. However, having been in two cat-1 hurricanes with the motorhome I can say unequivocally that it is not fun. We are about to start our journey to the UP and I am watching the weather very carefully.

I also have a connector that you just take the card out of the camera, put it into the card holder and plug it into the ipad. Once i get them in, i can use an app to sync with phone only the ones i want... I do better with card adapters than an adapter and cable. When I bought mine, the adapters came together in one package..... Left it at home once, so bought another one, now have 2 sets.....

Long enough in PA; itch to travel

Sooooo, we have been here almost 3 months. We start (as in LAUNCH) winter 3 on 8/1 and can hardly wait. Year 1 was 7 months out, year 2 was 8. Shooting for 9 months this time!

We have finished all medical and vehicle issues, seen everyone, partied but not like the old days. Gwen has new toys and wants to try them out: TPMS, new air filter, and a new Class B licensed driver!

The itch to GO is stronger than ever, especially since we have been researching possible sights and campgrounds and food and.....you get the idea! Looking forward to as many Mini-Cs as possible in the area of Tucson, Yuma, etc.

Today we spend the day with Son and Grandson for eating, a movie, laughing and talking too way much; a three-generation memorable moment!

There are some RVMs with health issues affecting them or their kin or friends, and Nola and I send our very best wishes to all of you! To STMs out on the Rainbow, pics or......
