We shall see how it turns out... but here's the thing, when we walked in the store - it smelled yummmy! They were frying up and handing our samples of "bacon" I went to get a piece - and while it was pretty good, it was turkey bacon. No fat - lean - probably healthy. Anyway - when I got to the counter - I had my choice - of several lean or fatty bacons - my went back to that turkey bacon and I went for the fatty stuff. Sue is right - there is all kinds of bacon in the world *which is why I started the bacon thread yesterday* -- that and because the price has gone up due to the swine disease again this year.
Next time lean - and BTW - the lean was less expensive yesterday so I was sort of intrigued by the price of this fatty substance. I may use this as a jalaoeno wrap or on the overpriced ribeyes I got from the butcher as well. They had just the right amount of fat... decisions, decisions.

Sue, if he floats upside down, his nose will almost be out of the water. (I know Dennis likes that one)

And the real reason I ask, just how would Larry look in any kind of skirt! Lol

Many moons and pounds ago on a float trip on Big Piney Creek I kayak the section known as The Big Mother using only two garbage bags one taped to front and one taped to rear of opening. Laying the bags up against my back and chest under life jacket formed a pretty good water tight skirt. Problem arose when I hit The Big Mother, flipped in the ensuring rapids and tryed to roll up and out of it.
Well let's say practice in a pool vs in a rapid is not the same. After 3 or 4 attempts I figured time to bail as I was under water and bouncing off rocks. AMAZING how much suction two wet trash bags against my body and under a life jacket have. As I finally surfaced a roar went up cause many bystanders were posed ready to jump in. My thought was where were they 5 minutes ago!

Oyoyoy! I'll take my lesson from you. No rapids for me, skirt or no skirt, practice or not! Eek!
Long moons ago, we watched a kayak club as they practiced rolls and rapids on a river in TN. It was impressive!
