I am sure you are having no fun at all and are not a bit proud! 😉
Best of luck to them, and maybe a pic or two?

Thank you! We have an Amish community near here too, with good auctions, furniture shops, and buggies galore, but I've never seen a sulky around!
Cheers!
Sue
PS: I had a whole set of pics from our hilltop and a description ready to post a few weeks ago and the dang app threw me out. Again. No way to recover it and I hadn't the heart to start all over. Maybe another day.

Thank you Sue!
I really enjoyed touring and taking pics over about 4 weeks. It is all about everyday life, and the Amish do grow tobacco, mostly for chew and cigars.
BTW, most pics were done with iPhone.
Maybe you need to try blogspot? Easy-peasy!

Timing is everything for an STM!
We are leaving tomorrow morning.
Last night the door awning went "sproing". It is fully extended and will not retract.
Now to figure out how to manually put it back in and bind it shut somehow.
Looking for my MacGiver brain!

Dave,
Role it back up, zip tie the arms at the top and bungi cord the cover on both ends. I had this happen to me just outside Boise in a wind storm. I took my belt off and used it, although when climbing back down the rear ladder, my pants dropped a bit and I mooned the traffic behind me. I got 2 honks. Not sure if that meant good or Holy Crap!

Les,
I was ready to have a nice day with nice weather and nice people to visit with. Now I have this picture in my mind that just will not go away. No thanks at all.

Cable ties, duct tape, cell phone and credit card ... standard RV repair kit. My wife thinks I'm a genius the way I wield that credit card to repair the RV.

Been there, done that! I used a rope to draw the elbows of the arms together enough to be able to push the rest in while having Mary roll the roller in using her fingers.
Before you do that have some long zip ties, wire ties or duct tape ready. Once in place tape like crazy or use zips on each end or do both.
My problem was a clutch that rolls the roller.

R U an RV Mutant too?
Thanks for all the STM suggestions.
I used a steroidal MacGiver tactic: gorilla tape.
Did a smash&stash of arms and canvas and taped it good. Warranty on this and a failed roof A/C when we get to AZ.
Ready to roll 😄
EDIT: in this MH, SOMEWHERE, I have oodles of zip ties. My Dad came to my rescue with something he thew into my toolbox when I was a teen, that I have used many times: next post😄

Funny you should suggest blogspot. That's where my (dormant) blog lives. Great minds and all that. (Or idiots think alike.)
Tobacco in PA. Who'dathunkit? I've learned something today. That means I can go back to bed now!
Cheers!
Sue
