Did the apple orchard thing in the fall.

Plan on plenty of coffee cup lifting myself. Have good friend in a bind and needed a little help. A little is all I'm capable of offering. Lol
Since the weather has gotten really nice around here we're trying to finish up before the bitter weeds bloom and ruin the bales. Round bales we stack with a tractor. Had a BIL that had a trailer that would pick a square bale up and actually stack it. It's sets in the edge of the woods now, a pile of rust, but in its day a real high tech machine!

I found Longview, WA has squirrel bridges on there. A man named RA Dick, now deceased, was concerned about the high number of squirrel deaths in this heavily treed city. I showed a bridge to 2 of Don's nurses on the way to a Dr appt today.

Well hi there! Better get some fries to go with all that ketchup!
How ya holdin' up? Early days, I know. Greetings to Don & Arlene, please.
It's getting sleepy time over here in the more-or-less middle of the landmass. I won't stay any longer for fear of going finger-sliding like Diane!
Cheers!
Sue

Ok, last post I promise.
Colleen, I laid fast flashing fairy lights (say that 5 times fast) on the ground around my RV at night. It seemed to keep the critters from coming in. Bought the lights cheap on amazon.com
Sue -- Don has been home for a week now and it has been getting a little easier everyday. Today he had an appt with his new pulmonary doc who was the head MD in the ICU while Don was there. It was good to have his input and you could tell the Dr was proud of the fact that Don's still here. Every MD we have seen is calling his survival a bonafide miracle. I call Don our $6 million man. That's about what his care since 1/23 has cost.
I am Don's chauffeur. Arlene is a nervous driver, even before you add Don in his wheelchair. No way she wants to drive his brand new ramp van.
We got into an argument again today about the route I chose. For a man who can barely speak and is difficult to understand, I am amazed at the clarity of his cursing. I look at arguing with him as speech therapy. Not that I would ever antagonize him on purpose.
Thanks for the kind thoughts. I'll pass them along.

Hi Barb - pleasant dreams.
Good to hear you and Don are having the pilot / copilot dis - cussing banter. Add a cell phone GPS and a Garmin to the dis-cussing to a layer of complexity to it!
Been missing your prose and poetry and boring the mutants with our packing and stashing and slacking and stashing efforts. If you caught the post - we have been assigned PMB 4110 - I flipped a coin and it landed on Jeff and Marcia as referrals - so I guess they get the bag of peanuts or whatever the reward is.
Check in when ya can. We miss hearing from you and are all pulling for Don. Tip of the hat to you for your efforts and to him for his tenacity and spirit!
XOXO
Steve and Annie

My friend Bill made it in from ABQ safely and we spent the evening with a pineapple / jalaoeno pizza and salad - and another jazzy pie for James and Annie (Bill is a vegetarian...). I had recorded the PBS special on the Dave Clark 5 so we watched that. We have pretty much stayed in touch since 1977 so we never have too much catch up to do.
Take care!

Evenin Muteys!
Well we arrived at Williams, AZ this afternoon. Luckily most of the trip was nice until we ran into Monsoon rains and it hasn't stopped yet. Note to self: don't visit Grand Canyon during Monsoon season you idiot! I didn't know there was such a thing but Phoenix flooded today from heavy rains and all of it moving up here in the high country. One good thing it's 57 degrees and I love that!
Barb glad your holdin up to Don's cursing! That means he is getting stronger every day. Continued healing ohmmmms to him.
Well I guess I should feel good that Barb and I only made a $50 donation to the casinos by the time we left Vegas. That was worth the great time we had. So we may be hanging up here in the mountains a few days waiting on this rain to stop. Hope all is well on the rainbow for all Mutants.
I agree with Don, it's a sad day for the loss of my all time favorite commedian. I also agree with many about Patch Adams being one of my favorites. I also think that Birdcage is another of his great movies, I laugh till I cry every time I see it.

Whose law is it that states that the electricity comes back on just as you get the generator set up and running? Don's nurse woke me at 2:30 am because the house power had been out for 2 hours and Don needed the oxygen generator. Instead of trying to use the generator in the garage that I have never started, I just moved the RV next to the house and used my generator.
Move over McGiver, an RVM is here to save the da.. uh, night.

My first real kayak solo. I didnt load it onto trailer, but I pulled the trailer (cart), took it off, put in water, paddled by self, and loaded it, correctly, strapped it on, and pulled it up the bug boat ramp.... I am proud of me. Enjoyed it as well.
A geography lesson, Lake Ouachita feeds into Lake Hamilton, which feeds into LAKE CATHERINE.........
But is a huge lake, and extremely clear
Yes, it is early, pups wake up at 6 am....
Diane is the original FTSFM........... (Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant, #64) and is retired, duh!
