Sue,

I would gladly keep your garden weed free ... If you could find a way to ship it to me. Watering and weeding is what I do to regain sanity in the insane situation going on up here.

I finally figured out why I enjoy weeding -- bending over alleviates the pressure on my lumbar spinal stenosis and it's a great sense of accomplishment. I can yank those evil dandelions out before they get big enough to send down a giant tap root. For me, dirt therapy works better than any psychiatrist or wonder drug. And it's free!

Yes they do for sure. Certain kinds of wire covering get chewed first, so I've noticed over the years. The covering on telephone cable (house type) is tasty. When we purchased our bus (it had already been converted once before I redid it), the phone lines running from bedroom to the front were well chewed. Other wires running parallel in the same chase ways were not touched.

Some thermostat wires were nibbled too. That gave me fits because the effected wires where bare would only touch once in a while thus causing the heaters to either come on when not wanted or not operate when needed. Tracing intermittent wire shorting is fun. The final and most reasonable solution was to pull new wires through the conduits and disconnect the old ones.

The weeds are definitely faster than I am. Sometimes I can see them thumbing their tiny noses my direction.

Don't have a weed whacker, don't need one. I leave weeding to others now.

Park hosts get a lot of diverse duties... Yesterday, the head man called and asked Larry to go help a lady break into her truck to get her keys.... Park has tools but cannot do it because of liability... Tim, i forgot to ask if she was blonde......

This is my donation, should be in the Visitor Info Center soon.... Btw, head man makes wonderful brooms, his wife makes pine needle baskets, a young ranger from Kansas uses a potters wheel, lots of talent here...... And this lake is rated by EPA as the cleanest in USA.
