It is $11 for a car.

Park Fees - Mount Rushmore National Memorial (U.S. National Park Service)

I'm not sure if handicapped is free or not.

Dont think it was free, but we did get a good location..... I would suggest taking your toad.... The rv parking area was the smallest and farthest away..... There is just so much to see in them hills... Find a base camp, and do day trips... We stayed at Custer State Park.... For that week...

Diane is the original FTSFM........... (Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant, #64) and is retired, duh!

I think the first and 3rd trip we stayed at Rafter J, second Custer SP, not sure about the other trips. The B Van was easy. The first time at Rafter J the tour bus picked us up there and took us to the SP, Rushmore and Crazy Horse. That got our whistle wet for going back. That was the 90's... Annie and I have been twice as well LoL. We intend to show Bonita the area when we can. I found that old parking receipt going through another batch of pics... Annie says she made 8 or 9 trips to the dumpster today. Progress is slow but sure.

This patch from dad's last "project" just showed up....

Honesty - I was a good kid... went bad later in life. I did a little time at the Hawthorne Christian School in Hawthorn California... shortly thereafter we moved to Torrance. Then, on to Texas.

Thanks for noticing the demons had yet to arrive... lol.

Don's first 10 days home have been challenging for all of us. We've managed to survive several scary moments thanks to the help of his nurses and home health nursing services. His recovery is 2 steps forward, one step back at this point.

Yesterday we had a training session on this device

Mobility Research : LiteGait

but the training ended abruptly when he got nauseous. Don has leased the LiteGait to literally get him back on his feet. He is fighting SO hard to get his life back, but this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Funny story, tho -- Yesterday was Don and Arlene's 44th anniversary. The nurse and I took him to a Dr appt. As we are driving into town he tells us he wants to stop and order flowers for Arlene. So we get the flowers ordered to be delivered to the house and head home. I gave them my cell number in case the driver needs help finding the house.

As we are getting Don out of his van, my phone rings. The florist says they have another order of flowers for Arlene and the card says they are from Don also -- should he change the card on one of them? I chuckled and said "No, Arlene will get a good laugh out of the whole thing."

One of Don's good buddies, thinking Don would forget, sent red roses in Don's name. We are all enjoying the jokes about Arlene's 2 husbands -- both named Don.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. It's also taking a village to help Don get his life back. He has a great team of caregivers, family and friends all giving 110%. Guillian-Barre is such a baffling disease. Don has gone from having every muscle paralyzed to having about 30% of them now under his control.

The prognosis is for a full recovery if we don't kill him before he gets there. Thankfully his thinking is as sharp as ever. I have threatened to murder him on several occasions. He can be SO bossy.
Some how I missed that Don had Guillian-Barre, we have a great friend in NM who has that. Denise's was pretty sever, he is on his feet although still using braces on his leg though. His therapist recommended swimming and a local Hampton Inn let his physical therapist, and caregiver bring him there everyday. He was pretty big size wise by time they let him out of the hospital and so a wrench as installed at their pool too.

He was really determined and his mom was too. He was only 30 when he was stuck by it. He just graduated with his BA and walks daily.

My thought and prayers are with you all!

Other wires running parallel in the same chase ways were not touched.

Some thermostat wires were nibbled too. That gave me fits because the effected wires where bare would only touch once in a while thus causing the heaters to either come on when not wanted or not operate when needed. Tracing intermittent wire shorting is fun. The final and most reasonable solution was to pull new wires through the conduits and disconnect the old ones.
I am sure Hunter is not looking forward to any of that. His first priority is finishing the LNG plant that our company is building in Tioga ND, then the RV I am guessing........we might get lucky and get some of it done in between too.
