When I retired, I vowed to never work (be employed) again. Seems to have worked.

This guy just turned 50t! Sold his interest in business and has just kicked back for years. Keep trying to talk him into a MH - says he needs to sell Ferrari first but isn't ready. He has rented Class A's but not ready to bite. Mr right place, right time. With his luck he will probably win one. I do believe he has latent mutant tendencies and will join us one day.

IMHO. If he has a Ferrari, he doesn't "need" to sell it.

RVM1 checking in.....

Our son gave us a gift. 3 days with a professional battlefield tour guide, for an in-depth tour of 4 Civil War sites in VA. Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, The Wilderness, and Spotsylvania.

This guy is AMAZING. He added so much insight, detail and color to the experience that we truly "lived" the drama, hardship, and horror of this pivotal time in American history.

If anyone wants to hook up with him, PM me. He can do tours of anywhere the Civil War happened in VA, PA, MD, etc.

We stayed in KOA Fredericksburg. Very nice!

Okay, so 4 nights in VA, now in PA for final Dr tune-ups, then to ME for at least 2 weeks before we blast off for the SW. No real plan for the SW. But we managed to fill up 7 months there last winter by wandering! (see our blog)

Yes, bacon. No, rope lights.

You RVMs are burnin up this thread with such grand and stuff. Keep it coming!!!

Dave,
Yep! That area is so rich with history. When one stands on the battlefields and vision hundreds of people, 50 yeard or less apart, firing musket balls that had no accurate path, it is mind boggling. We have been to Gettysburg 3 times and every time was a lesson in history, something the children of today's society are no longer getting schooled on.

On another note:

Got the MH out of repair after 6 weeks (to long of a story for me to type) set it up in the storage area and went back after a few days to check the jack system. Dumb alarm light still beep, beep, beep, when the jacks are fully retracted, and the left side dips down after only a few hours. Not a happy camper.

Back to the drawing board and hopefully the next time they'll fix it right. Oops! How can that be, the Winnebago Service Center in Forest City couldn't eve fix it after 10 days.

Guess what PowerGear/Kwikke said. "Just start replacing parts."

Okay, not going to vent anymore - until.........

Wayne, and Power Gear/Kwikke is going to pay for these parts and labor right? I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening.

Ooooh ... love it when that happens. The modern mechanical solution. Don't they hire real mechanical engineers at those companies?

Might be time for you to get on the old coveralls, crawl under the rig and remove the offending jack. Field strip it down to the last set screw, and reassemble. Maybe the factory would be kind enough to mail you a complete set of specs and drawings.

Ha ha! Funny Jerry. Guess what though. The dealer didn't fix it the time before this so they waived my GS co-pay. So there.

Yeah! If someone could tell me which jack was the offending one. Oh wait! I don't do the mechanical stuff anymore, I have more important things to do like iRV2. Did you know that all my friends live in this computer that I'm on?

I asked Wayne a while back to poke some more air holes in the box. Don't think he did cause it's still hot in here. Maybe he's afraid some will escape.
