Hey Les,
It's good to know that Mort survived his encounter with Sasquatch. He's too talented to lose a such a young age. How old is he anyway? And yodeling? Who knew chickens could yodel?
Tell him Sena is quite proud of the way he represents all RVMascots.

WITHOUT WHEELS!
The big green, dreaming machine is in the hands of Bradd & Hall for up to 3 weeks to rip out the old, heavy, grey/green tile and replace it with nice, bright vinyl tile. The lucky part is that we are not enjoying a lake side home of my brother in law for the duration. It could be worse.
I arrived at B&H at 11 am an by 11:30 they pulled it in, extended the slides and masks on preparing to break up the old tile for removal. After talking about some last minute thoughts, double check the list if items to be done and finally getting out of their way to get to work.
For the next 3 weeks this is her home...

Elizabeth - my memory isn't what it once was... did the mugs come..
Marty - I will let you know when to expect a box of 24 etc. Spoke to SIL about them today. They will be ordered tomorrow.
All and especially papaw Steve
Annie says we mutants are all about family - and being 1 in the mutant way... so she has nixed the blue inked logo and slider lid. She says Black is the original color and it would devalue them all of we changed the color (unless there is a supplier mandate).
So the next 48 mugs will be in production soon. That means 70 on Hand the next week or so... Yippee the rainbow rocks.

Wayne your slide problem must be contagious cause our long slide is out of sink too and I have to manually override and start the back first then the front to bring it in and it's not seating all the way on one end when it's closed. I guess after I get her all cleaned up from the trip I will have to get that fixed cause I sure don't know what the problem is. Anyway I have to schedule PM work and some other minor things to be done to get here ready for the next winter journey.
[...]
Wayne when are you and Earlene planning on heading back this way? Hope you guys are enjoying your travels.

Happy to hear you made a safe trip, and only with a little bit of a problem.
Regarding the slides. Once you have walked them in successfully they should automatically sync. However (comma) I have found that not to be totally true and several times were required. I did find out that lubricating the mechanisms frequently helps considerably. All through our trip I did what you are doing, walking the back in first about an inch, then both at the same time. Last two times I just had to push the "In" button.
Something I found out previously regarding one end sticking out. Using the electronic override should snug up both sides, "Out" for the back end, and "In" for the front end. I had problems with the back end sticking out about an inch or so. Found out that the brake lever had slipped or got knocked out of the "brake" position. If it is not in the "brake" position the slide will creep out when rolling, to about an inch or so. Also, when retracting it stays out because the brake is not holding it in sync with the opposite end. I've forgotten which way the lever is supposed to be but the manual tells you. If you don't have the manual, let me know and I'll look it up.
But hey! You know all this already. Just posting in case someone else can use the information.

Steve - - Okay, I retract my (tongue in cheek) request to preserve the original design of the mutant mugs so as to preserve the value of the originals when my great, great, great, great grandkids finds one in an attic and takes it to Antiques Roadshow.
Seems like the voice of reason and the voice of conciliation always spoils my devious and self centered attempt at some type of personal gratification and financial enhancement. Annie certainly possesses, exemplifies, and maintains the mutant standards of fair play, group not personal gratification, and one for allism.
Shucks just when I thought I was leaving a valuable remnant of mutantism for future generations. Lord knows that no money is going to filter down to the descendants. My plan is to spend our money for riding the rainbow so that our death and the end of our savings accounts are simultaneous.
And that's all I have to say about that.

Ahhh papaw Steve.. we all know it was in jest - I do think the value will be preserved with the original color scheme. The great great great greats may well inherit a fortune in mutant mugs....

Papaw Steve, I'm hoping that the cash and the life run simultaneous as well. But I wouldn't mind if my check to the funeral home bounced.
As to the color of RVM Mugs. Personally, if they do change any, I'd prefer a mug more suitable for cold drinks. Not being a coffee drinker, I prefer a straw as opposed to a lip on the cup. Sena is also a straw drinker and casts a second vote in that direction.
I do, however, feel that any new design, color, or style changes should ONLY be made with the batch ordered for that year's GC.
